Introduction
Knower of Things, Doer of Stuff.

Amateur Historian

I call myself a Technologist, but it really comes down to being a Geek, multi-subject Nerd (there's a difference- ask me), Inventor, and Entrepreneur.  I'm deeply passionate about technology and communications (networking, internetworking,  social media, and crowd-sourcing).  All information can be learned, therefore, shared.  Give me a book and a weekend, and we can accomplish some wonderful things.

I'm currently involved with a lean-startup within a large Telecommunications company, the Special Projects Division (SPeeD), to design and innovate next-generation technologies.

Prior to that, I was in Network Intelligence for the City of New York (design, monitoring, administration, forensics, enterprise architecture), UX/UI pundit, Engineering 'de-con-struct-or', and I worked on engineering last-mile SONET networks (fiber-optics) for carrier hotels in and around Manhattan, and in other cites around the world.

Certifications / Associations:
  • AFIO
  • BICSI certified
  • CHFI (Computer Hacking Forensics Investigator)
  • CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
  • Network+ (CompTIA)
  • Security+ (CompTIA)
  • working towards CCIE & JNCIE
  • InfraGard (NYC)
I also enjoy Softball, Aikido, absorbing as much random information as possible (a la Cliff Clavin), and I'm working to become a polyglot (Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Hebrew, French, Spanish, Greek).

Have an idea? Let's work collaboratively to improve on it!

Technology moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

"Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish."
Bragging rights
Married, 3 boys, Mac addict, Open-Source fun seeker, can operate technology w/o reading a manual (although I do, b/c I'm a geek), weird ability to absorb and regurgitate random information, Idea Jedi (product/service analysis & improvement), 20+ year EMT, quick reader, social media lover, snaps fingers, tongue roller, and can whistle.

One of my top locations in NYC. We come here at least 10-20x a year. C-train to 81st street. Take your time, do the audio tour, enjoy.

The food is very good. Lunch menu is inexpensive and filling. I have a very restrictive diet, and they always go out of their way to make sure my needs are met. One of my favorites! Kosher as well.

Many people will be impressed with the incredible office themes, abundance of food (in all forms), chutes & ladders, scale of the offices, game room, massage rooms, Lego building area, computer museum space, wonderful baristas, I could go on and on... However, the single-most impressive part of these offices are the people who work there.
