Did you know Pluto has a weird moon called Nix where the sun could rise in the East and set in the North? This is due to the chaotic spin that Nix has.

Pluto is actually quite fascinating. We live in an amazing time where we will find out what Pluto looks like in unprecedented detail. Well if you want to learn a little more then check out this article I wrote on my favorite 5 facts about Pluto!

New blog post!
I wrote up a quick / fun blog post on 5 great facts about our Sun. Some of us can probably rattle off the basics like the radius of the Sun is 695,800 km and is at a distance of about 150 million km from Earth.

However, did you know the color of our Sun is actually green? Check out my post below and let me know what you think. If you have some cool facts that are worth mentioning then please leave a comment below!

Europa is a fascinating moon that has great potential to harbour life. Scientist think this because of a discovery of a vast ocean that is 100 km thick. In fact, there is MORE water on Europa than Earth. Not only that but because of the tidal forces caused by Jupiter it actually heats up the moon internally, making it a great candidate for astrobiological life.

The Jovian moon has many features like a smooth solid water ice surface and a thin oxygen atmosphere. However, Europa is bathing in vast amounts of radiation because Jupiter's magnetic field traps the Sun's solar particles. If a human were to set foot on Europa they would only have 15 minutes before that lethal dose of radiation shuts down their entire system.

Check out my new blog post for more fun facts as well as the future missions to Europa which NASA and Planetary Society are pushing for in the new budget proposal for 2015.
