Would it be alright if I used the wolf in the first pinned post as a home icon for my navbar? I don't remember who it was that made that combined boot animation. I don't plan on posting it either.

There are a lot of compelling arguments on both sides but this one is more porous than a sponge. First off there were wars between Israel and at least two of these countries. They weren't the hit and run, hide in the civilian population conflicts going on today. There was air to air engagement and tank battles on a battlefield. Civilians were moved around a bit and some left but the vast majority ended up going back. There wasn't a mideast proxy war like we see it today. Certainly wasn't the same amount of strife the whole region is in right now. The civil wars in places like Yemen and Lebanon didn't release 100k people into the U.S. We took in some refugees but the power struggle was mainly between Iran/Syria backed Hezbollah and the nationalists fighting to remove foreign influence from the government in particular in Lebanon. Yemen has been in a near constant civil war in the last 50 years. We probably added to our own problems in Somalia What the article also fails to (or willingly fails to add) is that we had a Somali immigrant go on a stabbing spree in a Minnesota mall in 2016. Whether it was real or just another false flag attack is another story. Since 2012 and mainly after 2014 the flash points in the region started to fester more and more. Sure it's nearly impossible to cherry pick incidents and use that as a sample size. Anyone that does statistics a lot knows that the higher the sample size is, the more likelihood you can support or disprove your hypothesis.

I'm all for people wanting to come here but we can barely focus on feeding our own people.

Food for thought.
