I think I buy to many domains for various sites and ideas. Most of which never go anywhere and I let them lapse after the year.  One of these domains is my newest one and it's set to be a storefront for my landscape prints.

www.zbphotos.com

It's a minimalist design with minimal number of pages with the idea that it will be a better place to sell prints online.  I'd love for you to check it out and see how it works on your computer or mobile device as well and what you think.  I'm making very minor tweaks here and there and the biggest one will be a logo of sorts when I finally decide on what to keep there, but for now it has a placeholder logo.

It's through a service called +Art Storefronts and I have been extremely happy with them so far.  They keep adding features, have competitive pricing, in house fulfillment or self fulfillment options and much more. New stuff all the time keeps getting added. I originally heard about them via +Martin Bailey a few months back.

The main feature that enticed me to give them a try is how you can preview the picture on metal, acrylic, matted, framed etc... and how it will look on your wall. You're able to change the color of the wall background, and you'll see the picture with your options shown to scale in a room with a couch as reference.  Being able to see how small or big a print will be, on the correct color with some items for scale is awesome.

I've had a few issues over the last couple of months with bugs or wanting minor tweaks to functionality and they have been super responsive and fast in fixing everything I've run into.

This sounds like an ad I suppose, and in a way it is, but it's more to let everyone know about a new front to purchase my landscape prints with some awesome new tools and features to make the decision process easier.

Here's a referral link where you can check them out, and if you sign up with them, of course I get some benefits for using the link. Or you can delete the referral aspect and go to their home page directly!

+Zach Blackwood   Simple layout and probably will be more effective. I have seen too many sites where I don't know where or how to go next. I like your new site. (K.I.S.S) keeping it simple.

I hope you make many sales. You deserve it.

The last few days have been pretty bad for sunsets. They have enough potential to get me out and shooting, but they've turned into duds. This is one such a night from the other day.  Just a couple minutes after this the color disappeared and that was that.

I've been running with 8 gigs for far to long... things should hopefully run quite a bit smoother when I'm taxing the system.  I've kept the original 8 in there until I snag another similar set of 16 to top it out at 32gigs, unless I upgrade the motherboard.

Next up, replace the CPU with  a better one, even though this one isn't so bad really. Though as briefly stated above, doing so would require a new motherboard as well.

For now, this will work!

+Zach Blackwood I've had a 2600k and now I've got a 4770k and tbh I got my 2600k 24/7 stable for a year at 4.7 GHz and its not much slower than the has well chip at 4.5GHz so may be able to hold out till next generation with some tweaking :)

I was looking forward to Thursday's sunset because the weather was indicating it could be pretty awesome.  It really wasn't very good for a traditional sunset shot with the horizon in the picture since it was mostly covered in fog and clouds, but it did light up a little bit higher in the sky.  Combined with a bunch of sand being gone exposing more rocks, I found a couple shots I liked.

This was taken a few weeks back in Corvallis.  Spent the walk shooting with my 85 1.4 to give it some good testing and to give me some much needed feel to it's focal length and distances for shooting.

+Michael Hatten I don't know. If you look at his profile, his picture is gone. If you try to visit his page, it says he no longer has a page. On my event page for the Steens Mt. trip, the comment lines are suppressed and you can no longer comment. The page is there, but frozen. Dennis has grumbled in the past about social media pages. I am just assuming that he terminated the pages himself. I do have his phone number, but I am not going to call about Steens Mt until we get closer to the date. If he has dropped out of G+, I can't think that he would still want to go to the Steens. But, I personally want to go? As well, I know that +Steve J. Giardini signed up to go and +Dennis Wisinski was considering it.

A few weeks back I posted a picture of my niece. Here's a couple more that I quite like. These were taken with my new Sigma 85 1.4 and manual focus.  I shot them at 2.8 (I believe) since I couldn't effectively nail the focus at 1.4 quite yet. But at 2.8, it was super sharp and I am very pleased with the lens, the bokeh, etc...

As always with family, I'm bias, but she's still one of the cutest little girls ever!

Anything exciting happening this weekend?! Besides all the traffic coming to the coast?

Earlier in the evening, the sunset conditions looked pretty terrible... then they started to look potentially epic so I had to go out. not having enough time to drive far, I defaulted to my normal place Seal Rock.

Turned out not to be any good here really, but viewing the webcam from PC, it was really good up north. Been a fairly bad week in general, so here's to hoping a good sunset comes along in the next couple of days.

Here's a couple shots from tonight none-the-less since I'm not to picky about which ones I like/post.

I love the soft pastels and golds . Not every sunset has to be a technicolor extravaganza to be beautiful...

Not nearly as dramatic as the other shot from last night, but here's one more. The stillness and color of the water caught my attention so I worked a few angles trying to find something I liked, this is just that.
