I did it again. Installed VMM under dom0 for Oracle VM 3.2.2.

The previous version installation blog is here
"Installing Oracle VM Manager 3.1.1 under Dom0 host"
http://www.pythian.com/blog/installing-oracle-vm-manager-3-1-1-under-dom0-host-or-how-to-save-resources-on-your-sandbox/

Please not that this isn't supported by anyone and you use it on your own risk.

This is draft only. I don't have time for a blog as of now. Therefore publishing it here.

-- Install OVS 3.2.2
== On dom0 ==

-- Replace /etc/redhat-release with:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.5 (Tikanga)

-- Install RPMs
yum install xz-devel
yum install zip

-- Install 3.2.1 using the following command
/mnt/cdrom/runInstaller.sh -n

-- Upgrade to 3.2.2
Patch 16410417: ORACLE VM 3.2.2 MANAGER UPGRADE ISO RELEASE
README for Oracle VM Manager 3.2.2

-- Replace /etc/redhat-release with:
Oracle VM server release 3.2.2

-- Access Oracle VMM & Enjoy

Other usefull commands:
mount -o loop /u01/SOFTWARE/OracleVM-Manager-3.2.1-installer-OracleLinux.iso /mnt/cdrom
mount -o loop /u02/SOFTWARE/ovmm-3.2.2-upgrade-OracleLinux-b520.iso /mnt/cdro2
It happens to be a short post as installation of the Oracle VM Manager 3.1.1 under Dom0 host isn't different from installing the previous version..

BTW: It possible that you may not need "yum install xz-devel". I didn't have a chance the check if it is a necessary step or not.

Great Work and nice  to for us to know this and try out.  APpreciate all your effort and taken time to share this,

Replace /etc/redhat-release with:

Just wanted to clarify is it vi to this redhat-release and then change the initial Oracle VM server release 3.2.2 to Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.5 (Tikanga) and save it??
