My second ride over Sonora and Tioga passes did it back in 2014 also. Started in Twain Harte and ended in Yosemite Valley. Stopped at the Travertine hot springs outside Bridgeport for the night and had a good soak in the evening and again in the morning. I did about 200 miles in four days and 16,000 ft. climbing.

We hosted a visitor form South Korea for a night. He is riding his bicycle from Seattle to LA and then to NYC! He found us on Warm Showers a community of touring cyclists and hosts.

Came across this photo thought I would share it. This was a fantastic rappel, The Golden Cathedral, Neon Canyon, Escalante, Utah.

The Golden Cathedral is an incredible sandstone alcove featuring an awe-inspiring triple pothole arch, located deep in the wilderness of the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Located in remote Neon Canyon, the unmarked route to The Golden Cathedral traverses through rugged desert terrain for nearly 4.5 miles one way, requiring excellent navigation skills.

After Machu Picchu, the Areas Less Traveled Can Be Most Interesting
The site and museum of the Lady of Cao, the recently discovered burial site of a high-ranking woman, is a must-see. The partially restored ruins offer a glimpse into highly intelligent people and a sophisticated society that will cause you to question everything you learned in your history classes. The beautifully preserved mummy of the Lady is like none other. (We encourage you to buy the DVD at the museum!)
