We're glad you liked our wines and enjoyed your experience on the hill other than paying for the tasting. We pour 5 wines on our flight and are generous with our pours, so typically a tasting consists of well over one glass of wine. If we waived the tasting fee for a bottle sold, it would eliminate any profit on that sale. I think you will find more wineries not waiving the fee and we do post that specifically on our price sheet.
We do give our staff the flexibility to waive a tasting fee for a larger purchase at their discretion. I'm not sure why that was not done here. We will be glad to give you a free tasting on your next visit.
