A great winery with an amazing view. Their wine tastings are very reasonable at $10 for 5 tastings. The wine isn't the best in the region. But generally good. The staff and atmosphere is laid back and very friendly. We especially like going there for the music they have during the summer months and having picnics there. This is a must visit if you are in the McMinnville area. Side note, we haven't stayed in any of their rooms. But they get good reviews for that as well. Also, check out the cows, pet the friendly dogs, and look for the wonderful swing set at the back of the property.

This place is AMAZING!!! I wish we could have spent more time just hanging out here but we were here on a wine trip and had a full itinerary. Along with wonderful wines, the rooms were beautiful and the service is top notch! Becky was AWESOME and the owners were beyond gracious!! The food was outstanding and the location is second to none. I have never enjoyed a cup of coffee so much -sitting on my personal deck overlooking the vineyards with views of the mountains! I will be going back and will take full advantage of the lovely grounds, amenities and hospitality that Youngberg Hill offers. Thanks for such a memorable vacation!!

Customarily when wine is purchased with the tasting, the winery waives the tasting fee. We have been to many wineries in Oregon and purchased wine after each tasting and not one of them charged us a fee. This place is the first. We bought 3 bottles of their most expensive wine, skipped on one of the wines in the flight and got charged for the tasting anyway. Of course I am not going to stand there and haggle with the guy for $20 but this "I will nickel and dime you" attitude from the winery did leave a bad aftertaste and ruined the whole experience. Safe to say we won't be back nor will we purchase their product online in the future. Yes, some of their wines are good but there are many wineries in Oregon with more consistent wines and a welcoming attitude.

Lara, We're glad you liked our wines and enjoyed your experience on the hill other than paying for the tasting. We pour 5 wines on our flight and are generous with our pours, so typically a tasting consists of well over one glass of wine. If we waived the tasting fee for a bottle sold, it would eliminate any profit on that sale. I think you will find more wineries not waiving the fee and we do post that specifically on our price sheet. We do give our staff the flexibility to waive a tasting fee for a larger purchase at their discretion. I'm not sure why that was not done here. We will be glad to give you a free tasting on your next visit. We're sorry that this tainted your experience with us and will experience our vineyard again.

We stayed at Youngberg Hill for one night in mid-September 2015. The Martini room had an amazing panoramic view of Dundee Hills. It was a real treat to wake up to such a stunning view. The assistant wine maker hosted a private wine tasting for the inn guests in the afternoon, and the wine was very good. The breakfast was made in house and delicious. Our host Nathan was super nice and helpful. Best of all, Cuvee and Archer, the very friendly vineyard dogs, kept me company during my walks around the property and made sure I didn't get lost. It was a tranquil place to visit and I highly recommend it.

The photos on their profile are to be believed -- absolutely stunning setting and well-positioned to visit wineries in every corner of the valley. Room was more than adequate size with wonderful ventilation from the double-hung windows. Very comfortable bed. The hosts were very accommodating despite our late arrival. And, as a self-identified shower snob, I'd rate this an excellent shower with great hot water and pressure. Only *minor* downside is the walls are a little thin, so if you are a light sleeper, you'll probably hear your neighbors getting ready in the morning. But not enough to dissuade us from future stays, by any means!

Hi David, I am so glad you had the chance to be with us. You stayed in the Pommard room which has been recently updated so I am so glad it meet your high standards. I have been told many times that the pictures don't do the place justice but I cant find a better one then actually standing her personally either! All the Inn rooms have been updated with double insulated walls between them and we haven't had any issues up to now but we will definitely keep an eye on things and an ear open too :-) Come back soon!

I attended a social event for a half marathon / 10K / 5K event. Everything was well posted everything was very clean and certain stations were clearly visible and or marked with plenty of volunteers to guide you to whatever you needed as well as guidance as to exactly where to park for runners and those that would simply just be attending to just watch and support of friends and family for the race. I've been to this location once before when looking for wine for my wedding. Youngberg Hill Winery is just as beautiful as it was two years ago or so when I was searching for wine for my wedding as well as potential wedding venues however I did not choose to use this venue for my wedding due to the high price point.

My boyfriend and I were travelling to the Pacific Northwest from NJ/NY in October. The plan was Seattle to Portland, but the boyfriend had a surprise in store! As a surprise birthday present/trip, he planned a night at Youngberg Hill. We drove up a long road to the Inn at the top of the hill and gazed behind us. The view was completely breathtaking. Nathan greeted us and gave us a tour of the Inn and an overview of the vineyard. Then, he took us to our room...AMAZING! The entire room was adorned in furniture made from Youngberg cork and barrels. There was a door out to the deck. What really made me feel special was the bottle of wine Nathan had placed on our bed decorated with "Happy Birthday!" It was such a personal touch! My boyfriend and I roamed the vineyard and enjoyed a wine tasting. We befriended the dogs and talked about changing our entire vacation plan to try and stay longer. Nathan helped my boyfriend hunt down the elusive Pliny the Elder, calling several bars and liquor stores in McMinnville and Portland. He provided restaurant suggestions in town. The next day, we were treated to a delicious homemade breakfast. We spent the majority of the day relaxing, drinking wine, hanging out with the dogs, and swinging on the swing under the Oak tree overlooking the vineyard. We never once felt rushed. My boyfriend and I felt so calm and catered to....it was a serious highlight of our trip!!! We cannot wait to go back to Youngberg Hill!

One of my favorite wineries. Sit and lounge on the deck with an awesome view of the valley while sipping through a wine flight. It is on the Oregon Wine Pass list if you want a discount.
