Indeed, good point Ronnie. Everyone, feel free to post there as well. We'd love to hear from you.
soft boxes, natural light & LED portable camera mounted, but want to explore night shooting with the LED portable with a diffuser over it
dumb question = lenses - is this what ppl are referring to when they say "I need some good glass"?
Is it worth having a variety or can you get away with what you've got, is it crazy necessary?
I was wrong re. the latest models of Webcams... looks like the Logitec C920 is the latest HD Webcam not the 930 (I'll bet that there will be a C930 soon!). Whoops. Guess that is because I don't use the Logitec cam, but I hear that it is good. Helps alleviate some extra computer drain by pre-processing the images, so it makes for a better video feed, even at lower bandwidths.
This is only available until tomorrow, but you can watch a course done by the author of one of the books recommended by Chris on Lynda.com. You'll have to "like" the page on facebook, but I have just checked it and it looked pretty good. https://www.facebook.com/lyndadotcom/app_325181790894701?ref=ts
what is the course about? [edit: the free course - until Aug 10: Fundamentals of Video: Cameras and Shooting] offered by ]
, it is a series of videos delivered by Anthony Q. Artis. He discusses a lot of the stuff that is discussed in these hangouts. I have not watched the whole thing yet, but he covers cameras, camera movement, lightning, filming with editing in mind and other stuff that I think a lot of people here will be interested in checking.
Thanks, agreed... I went and 'Liked' on FB I have always like Lynda.com for training online since 2008 or so.
