Now that I have seen the movie... I'm so happy I don't watch trailers... So many punchlines would fall flat from having the setup mean nothing because you'ed already know the punchline.

Xander; Apparently I've not been in touch with the fanbase.
He's flawed, like he should be. And his prejudice towards Angel is understandable. Buffy has finally accepted that she has to kill him, and Xander probably feels that giving her hope, however small, that Angel can be saved, would distract her from what she needs to do in his eyes.

I'm not saying he made the right decision. Much like most choices in life, there isn't as much right or wrong as much as just choices and consequences. Did willow make the right decision by channeling magic? Will Oz need to cage himself with crazy emo chick? Did Buffy have to go after Angels obvious trap?

Xander made a split second decision that frankly, wouldn't actually change the outcome. But knowing that Willow already tried and failed, and knowing that Buffy needs to not lose her focus. And yes, his general hate for Angel because vampire=bad in his mind. Makes his decision not just understandable. But I'd argue, not wrong.

+Yosi Berman Well said. I'm with you. Regardless of Xander's motivations, Buffy needed a clear head. If she let her hope get the better of her, she would have faltered. Later built upon in season 5 and season 7. The mission is what matters.

Full disclosure. I am a person who likes Classic Rock, Progressive, Jazz, etc. and dislikes most of the music that was played here.
But that doesn't mean that music once was "better" then now.

Firstly, that question is mostly subjective. Sure, I can point out more interesting and complex features in some music. And point out catchier and "more fun" features in other. But at the end of the day, there is more feeling involved. And if Taylor Swift makes you feel something but Pink Floyd doesn't, that is completely legitimate.

But secondly. Listening to Pop music and basing that as the "What is better" question is a narrow view of that idea.
When I say I like Jazz, most people associate that with the classics like Duke Ellington or Louis Armstrong, and I love them. But for me, Jazz got better in it's evolution with musicians like Hiromi, Jaco Pastorius and Mike Stern to name a few.
And the Alternative Rock scene has been extremely rich in the last decade.

And on the flip side, back in the day there was also a lot of crappy (my opinion) pop that simply didn't survive the test of time. Remember "Don't go breaking my heart"? I love that song and I love Elton John. That is a duet with a bigish pop star of the time Kiki Dee... Do you know that name? I had to google her to find out she had a few charting songs in the 70s and 80s and still performs today. And she is one of many.

Point is... there is no point.
Personally, understanding why I like specific songs or artists or any type of media for that matter by analyzing the structure and technical aspects gives me more enjoyment of that media. But you might just find this "overthinking" unnecessary, and that is fine. Basically I'm saying in so many words: To each his/her own.

I loved this movie so much.. but on thing really bothers me
Dads emotions. They didn't match up at all with the character who was established. He isn't controlled by anger. If anything, he's controlled by Joy.
Making anger his lead emotion was stereotyping men.

While  don't always agree. I always enjoy listening to your opinion and analyses.
So much so, that when I see a new Buffy Guide episode in my sub box I skip anything else and watch it.
I've watched Buffy 5 or 6 times at this point (lost count) and every time I notice something else. But this guide makes me feel like I'm watching it for the first time again, and that's just awesome!

The only nitpick I have to address is the opening slate... The TPN?!? as in, The The Passion of the Nerd?!? come on!!!
