$2.2 BILLION?
For some reason, I just can't see Apple getting that.
Amounts are based on surveys of what Samsung users would pay for some features.

ICYMI: Some parts of the south are becoming separate and unequal. Again.
Sixty years after ;<em>Brown v. Board of Education</em>, the schools in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, show how separate and unequal education is coming back.

ICYMI: Check this article I wrote for global business news site Quartz ( http://qz.com ) about the whole +Brendan Eich fiasco with Mozilla. Mozilla made a huge mistake by letting the inventor of Javascript resign. And the internet just made an even bigger mistake by convincing him to do so.

The Open Web had a rough couple of weeks. And, as a gay developer, I still have respect for Mr. Eich.
This has been a rough week for the open web. Last week, Mozilla Corporation, makers of the ever-popular Firefox web browser, appointed co-founder Brendan Eich to CEO.  The move was not surprising—Eich, after all, invented Javascript, the web’s lingua franca—but it would turn into a PR nightmare for Mozilla after it was made public that...

This is an old lament, sociologists have been saying that we have been in danger of losing social skills to the Internet for years. Do you think this is true? Or are we just socially evolving to include the Internet as a forum to hang out in?

Its sort of sad I think though I admit that Im very affected by it.  It definately helps in the winter though when the cold weather keeps ppl in.  But definately do try to get out in the summer and use sites like meetup.com to get out and meet people!

This is terrible. Topeka, KS - because of budget crises - is considering decriminalizing domestic violence. They say it simply costs too much to prosecute abusers. Some victims are already reporting being afraid for their lives.

Why wasn't, say, legalizing drugs a higher priority? Or maybe, doubling parking fines? Is this where we want budget cuts to be made?
