Rasmussen Reports, polling on last week's shooting of two Virginia TV journalists on live TV, found that just 29 percent of likely voters believe stricter gun control laws would have prevented the slayings. Twice as many, 60 percent, said it wouldn...

You mean violent criminals don't buy their firearms from gun shows or online AND they somehow manage to skirt the mandatory federal background check in the process??? My mind is officially blown.

Story
Tagline
"History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid." -- General Dwight D. Eisenhower
Introduction
Yih-Chau Chang is the Oakland Gun Rights Examiner, the Civil Rights Columnist for the Calguns Foundation, a professional firearms industry model for world-renowned 2nd Amendment photographer, Oleg Volk, as well as the Press Secretary for the non-profit, Right-to-Carry advocacy organization, Responsible Citizens of California. He has been featured in all mainstream local press in the San Francisco Bay Area and also in Southern California (KTVU 2, KPIX 5, ABC 7, NBC 3, The Contra Costa Times, The San Jose Mercury News, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Oakland Tribune, The Los Angeles Times, The Fred Roggin Show, etc.) as an expert in the area of 2nd Amendment Rights in California.  He has also established a national presence with Fox News, PJ Media, Independent Journal Review, Biz Pac Review, The Daily Caller, Business Insider, Opposing Views, Breitbart, Gawker, The Washington Times, UPI, Yahoo News, and internationally with various news agencies in Europe.  In addition, this civil rights activist has found himself on the forefront of hot-button political discussion in the Golden State as a guest panelist for the Commonwealth Club of California. Mr. Chang graduated in 1998 with a B. A. in American Studies from the University of California at Berkeley.
Bragging rights
Mr. Chang was profiled as the cover story of Concealed Carry Magazine's July 2012 issue as a key activist in defending every common, law-abiding Californian's basic and fundamental civil right to self defense as enumerated in the 2nd Amendment. He also served as the 2nd Amendment advocates' public voice in opposing State Senator Leland Yee's 2012 "bullet button" ban bill, SB 249, which sought to criminalize the already highly-regulated ownership of so-called "assault weapons" in California. After appearing in multiple news segments on CBS 5 and ABC 7 in the SF Bay Area, the overwhelming tide of public support swung against SB 249 and led to its high-profile defeat in the California State Assembly Appropriations Committee on August 16, 2012. Mr. Chang was also instrumental in facilitating the defeat of AB 1934 (Assemblymember Lori Saldana's Open Carry ban bill) and all other gun control bills (AB 1810 and AB 2358) introduced in the State Legislature in 2010 through political activism and targeted media exposure as the Press Secretary for Responsible Citizens of California. He also played a critical role in securing an official reprimand on July 22, 2010 for East Palo Alto Police Detective Rod Tuason after the law enforcement official posted Facebook comments online six months prior advocating that members of the Open Carry Movement be shot. Furthermore, Mr. Chang is credited by former New Yorker Staff Writer, Dan Baum, for contributing to his understanding of firearms when Baum crafted his highly-acclaimed book, "Gun Guys: A Road Trip".
