Want to share your location with me on Google+? Turn it on here:
Google+ aims to make sharing on the web more like sharing in real life. Check out Circles, Events and Hangouts, just a few of the things we've been working on.

Might as well right? Location is being shared with the government anyways.
+Jarrod Payne I completely agree, and I am over here in Chiang Mai.  It is important, but also less important day by day, to remember not to switch on "share your device buttons",  inadvertently, which often happens.

What if any solution might you have for committing another faux pas when, inadvertently again, your device sends out messages to everyone asking them to share their locations?
Hmm. I'm not exactly sure which feature your talking about. I'm assuming you have an Android device. In iOS, you can restrict apps to having location services at all. With a certain restriction in place, you can't inadvertently enable location for that application. I would imagine that Android has a similar feature.
