What the fuck? I have never heard of such a thing. Yeesh, east coast weirdness. I hope.
A little scary right? In Boston years ago there was a bar that required a scan of your ID to get in. I refused and went home. What was one bar is now many and has become common in large cities with popular clubs. Some even have face recognizing software. If a club or bar chooses to uses these devices I choose to take my business elsewhere. The problem comes to larger events. You buy a ticket online only to find out later you need to have your ID, recorded, and possibly shared by the vendor.
