Soliciting feedback from 12+ y.o. kids with no prior programming  experience. Is my Java For Kids book easy enough to read and understand?

I'm not asking for a technical review, but if you have a teenager in your family who's considering learning programming, please ask him or her to skim through the book. What do they feel about the complexity of the texts? The unedited drafts are here http://yfain.github.io/Java4Kids_NoStarchPress/

Thanks in advance!
This Web site contains the early drafts of the book "Java for Kids" by Yakov Fain. The final version will have about 30% more text providing more detailed explanations. The printed book will be published by No Starch Press in May of 2015 and can be pre-ordered on Amazon.

I'll run an online presentation "Dart for Java Developers" at the New York City Dart Users Group: http://www.meetup.com/Dart-Users-Group/events/221377098/

If you're interested in Dart, join the meetup and participate from wherever you are.
Dart for Java Developers Dart is Java simplified. If you can read Java, you can read 80% of the Dart code. Dart gives you a productive environment for developing Web applications using the syntax that's very close to the upcoming EcmaScript 6 language, and you can deploy Dart applications in every modern Web browser today. Besides being a language for the Web, you can write Dart applications that run from a command prompt. In this presentation yo...

Hey Jesse, I'm enjoying your software presentations no matter what you're talking about.  Got a couple of questions. Would you recommend having a glass of Merlot before or during the preso? Would Cabernet work as good as Merlot?

I can recommend you a tool to quickly open a Terminal window in a folder that's opened in your Finder: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/go2shell/id445770608.

Also, typing in Terminal "open ." will open the current dir in Finder.

+Yakov Fain Always a pleasure, man! Who cares; as long as it has alcohol and is red == good enuf stuff.

Thanks for the tool tip + Terminal knowledge! I really wish IntelliJ would work like Flex Builder did:
1. write code
2. hit green button
3. browser opens with compiled code
