Not in the U.S.? Fight SOPA this way: Petition The State Department: http://americancensorship.org/modal/state-dept-petition/index.html

"The State Department constantly speaks out about internet censorship in other countries. Pressure them to speak out about America's new domestic censorship system."

My thoughts on the new dashboard:

Ratings from the games library and suggestions are great. I'm not sure about the other ideas. Have you considered having the 'front face' of XBLIG be something like this?:

1) Top Releases (default): Most recent 3.5+ rated releases. 1 in 5 games will make this cut. Prolongs "front page" publicity of our best games, due to slower influx. Increases value of dashboard to developers of good games. Developers will compete to make such games.

2) Upcoming (second list): Most recent releases: Games graduate and move from here into the "Top Releases" list. Games should not be listed in both, just one or the other. Games can shuffle back and forth if their ratings change, as they should because the lists are self-correcting.

The idea is the majority of XBLIG traffic is funneled through "Top Releases" and "Upcoming". They work in unison.

And "Taglines" should be used to promote ratings, such as: "Top Releases: As voted by you" and "Upcoming: Vote the next top release". Letting Xbox LIVE gamers know their votes are valuable would benefit this proposal. The more true votes we have, the less damaging fake votes will be towards the goal of accurate ratings.

What do you think?

I named this among other less critical ideas in our Xona Proposal: http://xona.com/2010/11/15.html

You undeniably have to respect Sturgeon's Law (90% of everything is crap) with an open-ended unrestricted platform. Please don't add restrictions, just implement filter systems like Google/Reddit/Digg/Amazon does with it's overabundant content.

Thanks.
