Cloud company Racemi gets US$10M of Series C funding. Interesting fact: the only Open Source hypervisor it supports is the Xen Project Hypervisor.

Summary: Migrating IT workloads from cloud to cloud or from data center to cloud (and perhaps back again) is a burgeoning business that Racemi plans to attack.

Check out LINCX, a production-ready virtual high performance networking switch supporting OpenFlow 1.2/1.3.2/1.4 that is available from http://flowforwarding.github.io/lincx/ and built on top of LING (Erlang on Xen). According to the author Stu Bailey "LINCX achieves 80 percent of the performance of VMWare's Open vSwitch".
Enterprise customers still have trouble grasping the promise of SDN. Stu Bailey of Infoblox has created an open source virtual switch that gets the point across

In a previous post I have outlined a new direction we're aiming with the Qubes project, which is a departure from using a “hardcoded” hypervisor with Qubes (as well as “hardcoded” Linux as Dom0, GUI domain, etc). Today I'm...
