The case that Donald Trump is returning flyting to US politics
The candidate's boasts and insults might seem juvenile, but his special way with words has a noble ancestry.

Functionally, they're trying to maintain civil infrastructure for the benefit of the privileged class from the (effectively) indentured servitude of the disenfranchised. Of /course/ the police become oppressive and the oppressed become unruly. Throughout history, has there been any /other/ outcome?

In theory, failing to submit to a cop's illegally exercised power is not a crime:

"The trooper says, “I am giving you a lawful order.” Now, is the is the lawful order to extinguish the cigarette, or to get out of the car, or neither?

“You can’t tell why. Certainly, telling her to put out the cig was not a lawful order. Just saying ‘Get out of the car,’ in and of itself, without an explanation, is not lawful. And you see him say that throughout the video without ever saying why [or] what’s going on here. It’s clear to me that he’s trying to assert authority that he probably does not have under the law, and he’s escalating the situation because he is upset" #SayHerName #blacklivesmatter
Here's what we know so far about the camera footage released on Tuesday.

+Roo James - This does not bode well.
For all the jokes out there about sentient robots subjugating the human race, we do a pretty good job ruining things for ourselves. Sealed Air Corp., the original creator of bubble wrap and modern joy, is introducing a new packing material design called iBubble Wrap. And the bubbles don't pop....

Initial thoughts on the new Feng Shui 2 RPG from Atlas Games.

I enjoy the smoothness of the revisions and how streamlined and stylized things are. This is definitely my go-to for action rpgs right now.

I like the pregen archetypes a lot. I just wish there was some kind of support for making your own character, even roughly. If your archaeologist isn't into whips, can you switch that out for parkour? What does that do to your guns score?

It seems like a missed opportunity to not include some more explicit tools for characters to creates hooks to each other and the setting. It's fairly common in modern RPGS at this point, and would really fit into the genre... since relationship drama and sentimental appeals are pretty much what action movies /do/ when things aren't getting actively bloody.

One thing just does not work for me, though: the Future junction. Battlechimp Potempkin vs Furious George is just... silly. I'm all for post apocalypse, mutants, cybernetics and good times, but two puns and a movie reference do not a setting make. The other junctures lend themselves easily to setting up whatever kind of action scenario you want, but... what am I supposed to do with this? I know there's a bunch of Fate fans who think gyber-primates make everything cooler, but they seem out of place in a mad-max type story, and there's scant support for any terminator fun, let alone corporate dystopia / Equilibrium style enclaves that might have survived the Architects of the Flesh.

Maybe I skimmed over some important stuff when I started getting frustrated, but I ended up expecting more from this second edition. Still, it seems ideal for a narrow range of things, and I'm excited to get a chance to use it for those things. Hopefully, on deeper investigation, I'll end up finding more here than I originally thought.

A bit grungy, and possibly not a neighborhood to walk through alone at night if you are the nervous type. Could be kept cleaner, but decent enough seating and escalators up and down.

A bit grungy, like some of the other older stations, but kept clean. Insufficient seating, though. No bathrooms because of "heightened security." My least favorite enclosed station.
