It's finally here. The one and only official Kodi Raspberry Pi Case is now available for a limited period. It will snugly fit the model B+, Pi2 and Pi3 and is made out of aluminum which also functions as heat sink. We don't know how long this offer will last so be sure to get it in time.
It's available through http://flirc.tv (US) and the The Pi Hut (UK/EU).

A percentage of every sale will also be donated to a charity involved with cancer research.

For more information and where to order go to our website.

Since the first Raspberry Pi was announced in 2012, it was inextricably linked with XBMC/Kodi. It was built with the tinkerer in mind and capable of new advanced applications, but always with the perfect fallback of being the tiny living room Kodi media center that could.

In 10 days (1 July) we're gonna do our first official v17 alpha release. A little later than planned though that shouldn't spoil the fun.

As an extra bonus we have a big surprise in store for you in a couple of days. We're quite excited and certainly hope you as user will think it's as cool as we think it is.

https://kodi.tv/10-days-till-first-v17-krypton-alpha-release/
We have been quiet for quite some time as our last official release announcement was about Kodi v16.1 “Jarvis” bugfix release end of April. We can assure we have not been sitting still as work for v17 progressed in a steadily pace. Our developers have actually been working on v17 since early ...

We're happy to announce our v16.1 Jarvis maintenance release containing several fixes. Visit:
https://kodi.tv/kodi-16-1-jarvis-mark-xvi/
Once a 'final' version is released some new bugs and/or problems usually appear out of nowhere, and this release is no exception. Even though tens of thousands of users were already testing the 16.0 version before release and we as team trying very hard to prevent any problems, ...

Although we try our best to prevent any bugs or problems there's no way of preventing them being present. With this v16.1 Release Candidate 2 we solved some problems that appeared after the v16.0 release. For more information visit our official website.

Since a long time every one asked if we would ever change the default skin to something more modern. For Kodi v17 "Krypton" we will exactly do that.  A fresh new look and feel with some of the latest changes and features that will lift the experience to a whole new level. Check out the announcement which includes several screenshots and videos for a preview.
A long, long time ago when Kodi was still called XBMC, a new skin came into life. It was on 21 November 2009 that the switch was made from PM3.HD to Confluence. Over the years it has fulfilled it's purpose as the default skin which every one sees on a fresh Kodi installation and many likely ...

Caution: Be aware what add-ons you install. Don't blindly follow some tutorial as bad things might happen.
https://kodi.tv/warning-be-aware-what-additional-add-ons-you-install/
There seems to be a growing amount of reports where users are suddenly missing add-ons from their Kodi installation. It seems there are some factions out there that are removing each others add-on without the user approving or even knowing this. While we as team do not want to be associated with ...

If you've been wondering why we seem to be releasing all the time, here's the answer!
Posted By: Nathan Betzen on Apr 28, 2016 in Dev Journal, Site News. early_often. Editor's note: Kodi 17 is a big, big release, and we've decided to break down blog posts about it into smaller pieces. We're starting with an explanation of the new release philosophy we've been using for Kodi 15, ...

Sorry, no April fools joke from us this year. Certain groups of people are taking away all the fun.
https://kodi.tv/the-piracy-box-sellers-and-youtube-promoters-are-killing-kodi/  Help us stop them!
Over the past few years it's become clear that many users have been watching pirated content using unofficial and unsupported add-ons that frequently break, and they are installing add-on repositories whose trustworthiness is questionable, leaving themselves open to numerous security exploits.
