Sunday Roundup: December 31, 2017 - It's Sunday everyone, and you know what that means, it's roundup time. In this weekly article, we put together everything worth mentioning that we didn't get posted. We also link to everything we did around the web, whether on this site or one of the other places you can find us like YouTube or Twitch. Here's what we missed: Flying Tigers: Shadows Over China The upcoming World War 2 dog-fighter from developer Ace Maddox is due out on January 12, 2018. Thi...

Slayaway Camp: Butchers Cut review: Bloody Good - Usually, with puzzle games, I can take them or leave them. They're fun for a short burst; then I prefer to move on to something a bit more action-packed. That is until Slayaway Camp came along or if you prefer to use it's Sunday name: Slayaway Camp: Butcher's Cut, a killer puzzle game where you control a psychotic slasher on a murder spree. With more blood and gore than most modern shooters, this is far from your average puzzler. Here's what...

A Hat in Time review: quality time in quality hats - A Hat in Time stars a young girl in a hat, simply referred to as Hat Kid. She pilots her own cushy spaceship which uses time as fuel, but after an accident, she loses all her magical hourglasses and is stranded above an alien planet. To make it back home, she must venture down to the surface and collect all the time she lost. Naturally, the only way to survive the planet's strange locales it to utilize a bottomless collection of flashy he...

Sky Force Reloaded recently released and felt like a new age Galaga. Now I’ve had the opportunity to experience Pumpkin Games Paladin: a chaotic twin-stick shooter that mirrors the greatness of Defender, while still introducing new elements to give the game its own life. Does Paladin bring honor to the retro theme or are som...

A Way Out will offer a way in with free trial - The unintentional highlight of last night's The Game Awards was an impassioned speech from the creator of Brothers – A Tale of Two Sons (seriously, if you haven't seen it look it up), but hopefully that didn't overshadow the new game he was there to show off. A Way Out is an action-adventure about two convicts escaping the law, and must be played co-op at all times. Playing as either the calm Vincent or violent Leo, the game will take two play...
