Battle of the Bulge Review: A Classic Foray - Battle of the Bulge is a turned based strategy board game based on the events that took place in 1944. In this struggle, the Axis (Germany) launches a surprise attack on the Allies (U.S.) in attempt to divide the U.S. and British troops that were in France. Instead what happened was that the line the U.S. held was pushed back where they were attacked, giving it a "bulge." Of course, this is a video game, so, not all of those facts matter here. B...

Cuphead review: Cup runneth over - Remember the good old days? Back when you'd head down to the local Nickelodeon to and put your quarter in the machine to play your favorite moving picture games? We used to save our allowance for days just to get another attempt to get the high score in Steamboat Willy. Kids these days don't know how good they have it, being able to play their full-color talkie games in the comfort of their own home. If we wanted entertainment, we had to walk five miles up...

EGX 2017 Round-Up: ID@Xbox Titles to Keep an Eye On - Every year, towards the end of September, the UK is host to its largest annual video games convention. In recent years, this has meant players, developers and press descend upon Birmingham's NEC Arena for four days of video games, all while trying to avoid catching the plague from sharing sweaty controllers and VR headsets. (I failed miserably on that last point.) I was there to go hands-on with some games for XBLA Fans and report back. ...

Early Gameplay of Environmental Puzzler Q.U.B.E. 2 - Toxic Games have been showing off their upcoming sequel Q.U.B.E. 2 at different trade shows for a few months. Giving any lucky soul not only the chance to see it in action but to get their hands on an early demo. Couldn't make it to PAX West or EGX, me either. Don't worry though; Toxic Games were kind enough to throw together an eight-minute video for us ordinary folk who couldn't make it. When compared to the original, two differences bl...
