2.6.0 is out.  The app now supports PGP/ECC - ECDSA/ECDH keys.  ECDSA and ECDH use elliptic curve keys instead of DSA or RSA.  The profile for their use is specified here:  http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6637

This will make iPGMail compatible with the End-To-End crypto effort from Google.  Buried in their technical notes is the fact that they are going to use the PGP/ECC key profile instead of RSA and DSA like everyone else.  This means that when people start using the Google plugin, they are going to be to be incompatible with just about everyone else who is still using the stable GnuPG codebase (v2.0.XX), since GPG does not yet support PGP/ECC.  GnuPG users will not be able to send PGP to people using PGP/ECC keys until they adopt the PGP/ECC standard.

Because iPGMail is NOT based on GnuPG code, it is not limited to just what GnuPG is doing and I was able to incorporate the PGP ECC support and will be compatible with the Google project once it is completed.

Version 2.5.8 is available now.

New feature: Key Signing.
- Now you can add a signature to someone else's public key.
- This is useful for attesting to individual identities (email addrs, names) included in a public key.  You can choose to sign any or all of the UserIDs in a public key.
- Combined with the airdrop sharing feature, this is a really fast and easy way to sign and exchange keys at a key signing session.
If you are unfamiliar with key signing parties - read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Key_signing_party

Saw the first pumpkin beer in the store last week. It's the #craftbeer equivalent to Christmas trees in August.

Mr Ingersoll, I think I'm going to have to report you to the authorities, that is an OBVIOUS case of animal cruelty!
