- Absolutely! I've given this much consideration for some time. IT is the technical support of the entirety of a business entity. How can a CIO or IT Director be effective at their maximum without knowing what it takes to develop business processes and direct change that superlatively supports every facet of the business.
ITIL and LEAN Six Sigma are also highly desirable business certifications that are beneficial to the IT Professional on the rise. I say go for it! I am going to pursue International Business with minor in Project Mgmt for my BS, and then on to my MBA. But I am starting LEAN Six Sigma with Purdue Univ online in November.Sep 19, 2013
- Wylie BlanchardOwnerI was actually planning to complete a few certifications before pursuing a Master of Science in Management Information Systems.
Certifications like the MCSP and maybe something else supporting my core but I think you've added more items that I can strongly consider. ITIL and LEAN Six Sigma are highly respected programs that builds one's brand as a Leader.

- And I just had someone who headhunts six figure tech talent tell me that without ITIL and Sec+, you won't even be looked at for fortune 1000 or international Career matching.Sep 20, 2013
