Late last night I wrote a quick post on how to add the cool Dashicons to your Custom Post Types in the WordPress 3.8 Dashboard.
Usually when building sites with Custom Post Types for clients I choose an image, so how to add a Dashicon instead?

Can your use of Sliders be improved?
Today seems to be the day of the Slider. First I read that Sliders suck, then how to make them not suck and then I learned which slider performs best!

At the end of November I did a presentation at the Beijing WordPress Meetup on essential plugins. I published this presentation in two parts on the WP TIPS site with today the part for developers.

What plugins do you use to manage clients' sites?

For anyone having trouble with WPML, I just finished writing the WPML Setup Guide over at my Senlin Online website.
Approximately half of the WPML contracting work I do, is related to setting the plugin up and it is therefore that I wrote this WPML Setup Guide.

Collapsing Header Tutorial to get that cool effect on your website!
As you will learn from the tutorial at Line25, the collapsing header effect is all done with CSS and it is actually quite simple to make.

tutorial on how to embed Gist in your Post by +Paul Underwood  http://wpti.ps/?p=285
The tutorial is a great way to learn how to make a shortcode and if you are not using it to embed a Gist, you might come up with something else altogether.

Among some other fonts I purchased via MyFonts last year, are two on this Most Popular Fonts of 2012 list: Flexo and Pluto Sans.

Just started playing with WP Types & Views developed by none less than the same people that have developed my favorite plugin WPML.

This is absolutely amazing! I have played with it for around 10 minutes without looking at any documentation yet, just to get a quick impression and in this time I have set up a member profile that is shown on pages only and includes a company logo, name, url, email, phone and profile.

The member profile I made is done with meta boxes, but the plugin Types also creates custom post types and custom taxonomies in a breeze. Types is free.

Then the Views part of Types & Views lets you display the content you created. Views comes at a premium of 40 bucks only and if you sign up during beta, then you will have a lifelong license, a pretty sweet deal indeed!

I have added a screenshot of what I just did within 10 minutes without reading any documentation: http://senl.in/xqyHan

I expect that soon I will (be able) to use this cool plugin combi for many of my upcoming projects!
Types and Views are WordPress plugins that help build complex websites without coding. Types creates custom types and custom fields. Views displays it.

We don't and have no intention to produce multiple tips per week, but when we come with a WordPress Tip it sure is a useful one.
