Writer Bernie Mixon provides a great feature about this April's annual Face of America from World T.E.A.M. Sports and the generous support offered by Penske Truck Rental. For anyone who has participated in our 110-mile, two-day bicycle ride from the Pentagon to Gettysburg, or other events like our Adventure Team Challenge in Colorado's high Rocky Mountains, the bright yellow Penske trucks are a familiar sight. The ongoing support from Penske is critical to the success of our inclusive events nationwide. ‪#‎2015FOA‬ ‪#‎weallridethesameroad‬ ‪#‎veterans‬

Changing Lives through Sports
Introduction
World T.E.A.M. Sports is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization chartered in North Carolina and headquartered in Holbrook, New York. For more than twenty years, World T.E.A.M. Sports has organized all kinds of athletic events for disabled and able bodied citizens – mountain climbing, white water rafting, biking, and more.

For more than 20 years, we have used athletics to challenge disabled men, women and children to accomplish goals they never thought possible. In all our events – whether mountain climbing, biking, white water rafting or many other sports – we include both disabled and able-bodied participants.

Four things always happen at our events:

• Disabled participants build self confidence and physical fitness.

• The disabled provide a role model for other disabled citizens, encouraging them to take up physical activities.

• The disabled become a moving inspiration to other participants and to spectators when they see that disabled individuals can meet challenges beyond anyone’s imagination.

• The disabled and able-bodied participants learn to work as a team to overcome those challenges.

We change lives through sports.
