The skyscrapers are up, the restaurants are open and the wheel is almost turning.

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for and, finally, Bluewaters island is open.

Take a jaunt along to the new Meraas attraction and you’ll soon be able to peruse 132 shops and restaurants, swan around the new Caesars Palace hotel (although not all are opening immediately) and get up close to the 250ft engineering marvel that is Ain Dubai – which is not yet open – before stretching out on the newly located Cove Beach when it all gets a bit too strenuous.

The island’s lifestyle and retail area, The Wharf, is the home to all the shopping and eating action, connected by walkways dotted around low-rise boulevards, with outlets still yet to open.

As well as licensed fine-dining restaurants at the waterfront, there’ll also be a home for the hipsters, with quirky cafés and intimate bistros at every nook and cranny – because nothing goes with a lavender chai latte like an unkempt beard.

For those who want to class it up a bit, there’s always Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai, featuring an outdoor swimming pool, six brand-spanking new restaurants, a fitness centre and a health spa. It will also house Gordan Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen.

Following a month long renovation, Dubai’s pan-Latin restaurant Toro Toro has reopened with a new look and menu.
Among the new design features are tribal Latin patterns and palm leaves and dark walls alongside the leather furniture, while the addition of an open kitchen will bring the sights and smells of Latin cooking to the customers.
Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa and Grosvenor House Dubai complex general manager Pam Wilbly said: “The investment in the revamp is in line with our vision to grow with current trends and to lead new ones for the hospitality industry. We love to challenge the market whilst maintaining our signature brand values of honesty and integrity with our world-class food, stellar ambience and our renowned signature service paired with unique soundtracks from our DJs.”
As well as the renovation, chef patron Richard Sandoval has created new dishes for the menu including seabass coconut ceviche.

The upper upscale property features 164 rooms and suites, an all-day dining restaurant, three lounges, Signature, a renowned Indian restaurant from the internationally acclaimed celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor, as well as a spa. http://ow.ly/hVtU50jzHsU
