Good news! Nepal is celebrating an amazing two consecutive years of zero rhino poaching!
Nepal marked two consecutive years since its last rhino was poached on May 2, 2014. This exceptional success is a result of a combination of high-level political will and government entities, and the active involvement of conservation communities.

In just four decades, the populations of animals on Earth have fallen by an average of 52 percent. That’s half of the mammals. Half of the birds. Half of the fish, amphibians, and reptiles, vanished. The actions we take moving forward mean EVERYTHING. Read more about the findings in the Living Planet Report and learn more about what we’re doing: http://wwf.to/YU1xuF

I agree with you Ms.Linda Kennedy, in every thing your saying here, thats how I was raised from my Grandmother, she was a farm girl from a large family of 6, & she taught me every thing in respecting wildlife & the land called mother earth, always give back to her when you taken from her, & respect her always, thats why we are having sink holes & earth quakes & other desasters every where unheard in some areas, & innocent animals are being murdered all because of money, people now days just dont have empathy for these animals or the respect of our planet like before, we need to keep teaching & educate these people who just dont know how vital it is to protect these items always & forever,.....................................In Jesus Name I pray, AMEN + !!

+Alecia Houp spot on. We are losing our roots with the outdoors. The sad thing is, the outdoors and wildlife have so much more to offer than a screen, yet not many experience it.

The Vietnamese concept of chi—the power that lies within—is the foundation of an innovative new campaign launched to tackle rhino horn use in Vietnam. It promotes the notion that success and good luck flow from an individual’s internal strength of character and refutes the view that these traits come from a piece of horn.
