Just had a nice meeting with +Jo Guerra as part of our new "virtual co-working" program on the entrepreneurs community.   These are hybrid public HOA / private hangout meetings.  For some reason, the video quality was horrible on my end and this part still went longer than I wanted - but I am getting better at that.   We had a nice chat about the need of "creative professionals" before we went into our private hangout.

Let us know if you would like to become involved in our virtual co-working program.

This is a virtual co-working session with +Rob Gordon and +Jo Guerra.  The public part of this session will be brief - just a few minutes for us to introduce our project, but feel free to ask any questions you might have.

We will be happy to schedule more if these - just let us know if you would like to participate.

Tomorrow we will be having another virtual co-working session for entrepreneurs and a few of us will be meeting to discuss our plans, dreams and schemes, and perhaps some of our challenges.  The format of these sessions is a brief public HOA where we introduce our current projects, followed by a private "anything goes" hangout.   Everyone is welcome to watch the public HOA but if you would like to participate in the hangout itself please let us know in the comments or by private message.  Several slots are available but we do ask for a fairly firm commitment from the actual participants.   Hope to see you there!

Who's available tomorrow at 10:30AM PDT (California) time?  I just got +John Chang to commit but it would be nice to have a few other folks.

Entrepreneurs Virtual Co-Working - Summer Session.  Who is up for a HOA?   As you might know, we have launched a new program for the Entrepreneurs Community on the World Startups page that is intended to give those of us who don't have access to, or can't afford, a real co-working space some of the benefits of one, without nearly the same investment in time, effort or money.

Basically it is an attempt to simulate that part of co-working when one of your co-workers gets bored with their work, leans over your desk and asks "What are you working on?". It has been noted that these informal exchanges are one of the big benefits of co-working, so why not try to simulate it with the tools we have at hand?

We are using a hybrid approach of a brief public HOA followed by a private hangout discussion for this purpose.  The public HOA session will let you state the goals and challenges of your current project, and possibly answer questions from audience members.  The private Hangout session will be more "anything goes" but will allow us to explain more about how we are approaching our projects and perhaps brainstorm a bit. Collaborations will be encouraged, but not assumed - if it happens, it happens.

This approach will hopefully be time effective for both our participants, and people who later watch the video.  They will be able to quickly get a basic understanding of what we are working on so presumably it will be easier for like minded people to learn about each other and connect.  No one whats to get stuck in one of those two hour hangouts, and certainly no one wants to watch a HOA that is nearly that long. I would rather do shorter hangouts, but do them more often, and mix things up a little with different people and different topics.

So who wants to do one this week?   As I mentioned, the best times for me are from 10AM to 4PM PDT (California) time, but I can adjust my schedule to accommodate other times.  Also, I don't have to be the one who hosts - this is a pretty simple format so if you want to organize one just let me know.

So who is with me?  Anyone game?

P.S. If you are getting this message as an email notification, it means you have supported us in the past and I think you might be interested.  If I got this wrong, please let me know and I will remove you from this circle.

If you are interested in this program, but can't do it this week, please subscribe to the collection attached to this post and (preferred) change the settings to set notifications to "on" so you can follow any conversations there.

OK. That was fun.   When is the next one?.    Today's meeting went about as expected - and that is good.  I think we (me) will start getting more efficient at the public portion but I don't think we bored any viewers too badly.

So when you you like to do the next one?   As I mentioned, I am willing to host two or three a week this summer, and we can do more that i don't host.   We really only need three people to schedule one of these, and we could go with two so it might be easier to just say a time - or a few times, when you would be willing to do one.

I think these will get better the more we do so let me know your thoughts.

As we announced, we are starting a new Virtual Co-Working Program for Entrepreneurs this Summer and will be having out third session tomorrow.  This one might be filled up, but let us know if you would like to participate - we plan on doing more of these.
With all the "shows" and self-promotion on Google+ we thought we would do something a little different.  We are entrepreneurs so we are going to to just roll our sleeves up and simply get to work.

Tomorrow we will be conducting our third "co-working" session which we have organized as a hybrid public/private hangout.  It will start with a public HOA where participants will describe their business, ventures or projects and possibly the challenges they are facing.   There will be time for questions from other participants and the audience but the HOA itself will be kept fairly short.  Depending on the number of participants probably not much longer than 15 or 20 minutes.  This will make it easier for members who haven't  joined this particular HOA to "catch up" and should also make it easier to meet other like minded entrepreneurs here.

This will be followed by an "anything goes" private hangout where we will brainstorm a bit. exchange thoughts and ideas, and possibly find
areas of mutual interests where we can cooperate.  Participation in the HOA itself will now require a firm commitment before the event so
let us know if you would like to join in on this or future Co-Working Sessions.

Scheduling Virtual Co-Working Sessions.     Anyone who is interested in our new virtual co-working program will need to join the collection of that name on this page  - and even turn its notifications on.   You will not see the posts we make there otherwise.

We would like to schedule some of these meetings this week and need to know when people are available.
So let's get started - what are your best times?.    Thank you for expressing your interest in this new "Virtual Co-Working" program.   Only eight people so far have gotten this far, but that is enough to get started.   I would like to start by getting more information about when people would like to meet.  After that, we will see about recruiting new members and scheduling the actual hangout.  Please give a time range, and let us know our timezone and country.

Posting as +Rob Gordon I will start.   My most open times are from 10AM to 4PM PDT M-F.  Other times on arrangement.

Again, the format of this will be a public HOA where you can briefly present your current projects or ventures, possibly mention some of your challenges, and the kind of people you would like to meet.   There will likely be a few questions from the other participants, or the audience if there is one, but the entire HOA will be kept shot - maybe 5 minutes per participant and some time for the questions.

After that, we will continue our discussion in a private hangout for as long as we want, but probably not too long.   There real benefit will be when we start meeting more than once.   Unlike "shows" or public discussion panels, this whole process is designed to be non-stressful and "non-energy sucking".    It is basically going to be a set of working meetings. .

Looking forward to hearing from all of you.
