Winship #leukemia survivor Leah Davis has advice for newly diagnosed patients: don’t give up hope. Leah found hope while receiving treatment from our nationally recognized cancer specialists. They provided the most advanced treatment options for her type of cancer. Now in remission, Leah is grateful for her care at Winship Cancer Institute.

+FOX 5 Atlanta featured Winship multiple myeloma patient Cheri Letts who is doing well after taking part in a clinical trial with #CARTcell therapy, a type of treatment that harnesses the patient’s own immune system to fight cancer. At Winship, CAR T-cell therapy is showing promise both in clinical trials and as a FDA-approved treatment option for some lymphoma patients.

Edward Cain woke up one day not able to get out of bed and with a tremendous pain in his back. Thinking it was spine-related due to playing basketball, he later learned it was because of multiple myeloma. He underwent surgery and started treatment with our world-renowned team of multiple myeloma experts at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. Grateful to his doctors and nurses, Edward recently celebrated his 70th birthday with them.
