When a cat in respiratory distress (dyspnea) is brought to a veterinary hospital, it creates a challenging emergency situation that requires quick assessment and appropriate intervention. This study looked at a blood test that will be very useful in these challenging  cases.

The Winn Feline Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 1968 by the Cat Fanciers' Assoc. that supports research to improve the health and welfare of cats. Projects funded by Winn have provided information that is used every day in all aspects of feline medicine. To date, over $4 million in funding has been provided to improve feline health and welfare through the generosity of our donors.
