Paravani - a volcanic-tectonic lake in southern Georgia, in Ninotsminda municipality. Represents the largest lake in Georgia with surface area. Located in the north-eastern part of the volcanic mountain range of Javakheti, it is located at a height of 2073 m above the sea level between Samtsari and Javakheti Rivers. Paravani lake mirror area is 37.5 km², basin area 234 km². The maximum depth of the lake is 3,3 m, the average depth of 2,2 m, the volume of water is 91 km³. Water level is the lowest in October-November, the highest in May-June. The lake is frozen in winter, the thickness of ice is between 47-73 cm. Nourishes underground, snow and rain water.

The lake's cavity is formed by blocking the river valley by a young volcanic stream of the Pleistocene period from Samsar Ridge. The bottom of the lake pond is covered by powerful tube sediments. The lake catchment basin is basically constructed with strongly crushed volcanic rocks covering the mountain-meadow black soil. The vegetable cover of the lake catchment area, characterized by vertical zone, is mainly represented by herbal formations.

The coastal lake of the lake is intruded-invaded, oriented from the north-east to south-west. The lake's bottom is almost flat. The northern and eastern shore of the boiler is low and uninterrupted. The bottom of the boiler is filled with turbine napkins, whose capacity is tens of meters. It is slowly gradually expanding from the north-east to south-west. Despite the low depths of the lake, algae are very poorly developed, which can be explained by the absence of strong winds and wind protected areas.

The lake hydrographic network is much less developed due to the relatively dry climate and the strongest volcanic flow. There are small rivers: Shaori, Sabadoskali, Rodiyonovsky and several periodic streams. From the southern part of the lake lies the river Paravani, which joins Mtkvari on the right side. The lake is popular for fishermen. Water is fresh (80 mg / l). The lake is used for fish farming. Rich with fish; There are trunks, trout, naphotas, carp, chapala and others.

The villages surrounding the Paravani lake are cultivated: Foca, Vladimirovka, Tambovka, Rodionovka and Asphara. On the edge of Paravani Lake is the Poca Monastery in the vicinity, near the Shaori Fortress, and Paravani Karavasla in the east of the lake.

The Lake Tanie is located in Khevsureti, in particular in Arkhot, in the river Tania water ravine. In my opinion, this lake is second to the beauty of the lake after the lakes. Lake is surrounded by two huge mountains. The lake has a heart shape that makes it more attractive to young people. The main river of the valley - the water of the water is not flowing or flowing, because it is one of the most strange nature of this valley, the River Tainistskali is the only source of water that is located on the Lake Tanni and everyone can see. Simply put, the river Tanya's water just a few kilometers away from birth and goes down the road. For a few kilometers this river can not be found, the river lake creates the river but not on the ground but on the underground tributaries. Tanya's lake is clean and camamas is distinguished by water because the stream flows from the ground is distilled and rarely breed.
