Tired of having to fix the corrupt SD cards on you Raspberry Pi? Maybe this will fix your problems. The alternative boot modes are still in beta test, but they sure look promising.

GD32F103 is a Sub-$3 STM32-Compatible Cortex-M3 MCU Running at 108MHz
https://blog.adafruit.com/2016/03/09/gd32f103-is-a-sub-3-stm32-compatible-cortex-m3-mcu-running-at-108mhz/

This is interesting. The GD32 clone runs 50% faster than the STM32 and it’s slightly cheaper too. Or as our own PT said, this is “what happens when even the lowest cost ARM chips get drop in replacements from Chinese designers….”

The GD32F103xx device incorporates the ARM Cortex-M3 32-bit processor core operating at 108 MHz frequency with Flash accesses zero wait states to obtain maximum efficiency. It provides up to 3 MB on-chip Flash memory and up to 96 KB SRAM memory.

The invasion of smaller high performance board has started. A rather compact quad core ARM Cortex A7 with 512MB of RAM for less than €15. A good competitor for the raspberry Pi.

The newest Raspberry Pi costs just $5, and is available to buy now. It's free with the December issue of +The MagPi, in UK stores today.
Of all the things we do at Raspberry Pi, driving down the cost of computer hardware remains one of the most important. Even in the developed world, a programmable computer is a luxury item for a lot of people, and every extra dollar that we ask someone to spend decreases the chance that they’ll choose …

Thermal imaging cameras are objects of desire for hackers and makers everywhere, but sadly for us they can be rather expensive. When your sensor costs more than a laptop it puts a brake on hacking. Thankfully help is at hand, in the form of an affordable…

A nice open source BLDC motor controller perfect for making your own electric longboard.
Post updated 2015-08-18. About this project. I have made many updates to my custom motor controller recently and the old post is getting confusing with notes and updates, I decided to write a new post about it that hopefully is more clear, more complete and easier to follow.
