We are very excited to announce that after several years in the pipeline, Wilston Vet has attained ASAVA Hospital Accreditation. Currently, as of 2016, Wilston Vet is the only accredited veterinary hospital in Brisbane.
The ASAVA Hospital Accreditation Scheme recognises companion animal practices that achieve the highest levels of quality health care and practice management in innovative, state-of-the-art hospital facilities. ASAVA Accredited Hospitals set a benchmark to inspire other small animal practitioners when assessing their own facilities and standards. This accreditation is difficult to achieve and reflects the commitment of all the staff to the clinic, its’ clients and patients. With this accreditation in place, you can be assured that your pet is receiving the highest quality of veterinary care available. The photo below is Dr Meredith and Dr Kate receiving the accreditation plaque at the annual ASAVA conference in August 2016.

Last week Dr Meredith was invited to go to the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) Conference in Adelaide so that she could receive our "Practice of Excellence" award. This nationwide award recognises outstanding vet practices that excel in customer service. Here she is accepting our award with one of the Award Sponsors (Maureen from Hills) and the AVA president (Dr Robert Johnson).

Awwww- Look what a good Samaritan brought in today- A baby Tawny Frog Mouth Owl who had fallen out of a tree. The nest was no where in sight so the little ball of fluff has gone off to one of our carers to be nursed into full health. Our wildlife carers are unsung heroes who dedicate so much of their time into rehabilitating injured and orphaned wildlife. We appreciate you!
