Are you familiar with Google Helpouts?

One of the foundational principles of my life is to be a life-long learner. This definitely applies to my passion for photography.  I've been a subscriber to Kelby Training for several years, have taken seminars and webinars by some of the leading photographers of our day and can say without exaggeration that there is no better teacher/mentor out there than +Alan Shapiro.   His knowledge of photography and post-processing is immense, yet he meets you where you are and gently leads you to places you never thought you would get in terms of skill and ability.

With Christmas upon us, this is a gift that you will want and that you will want to give to the photographers in your life!

Love in any language

The more I travel around the world, the more I realize how alike we all are at our most foundational levels.  We all want to be loved, to mean something to someone.  The baby below was born in an isolated region of China where neither Mandarin nor Cantonese is spoken, and yet words were not needed in making a connection with him or his grandmother.  Just a smile and taking the time to notice them was all it took.
