Yes, agreed Lydia, and her use of the word is obviously for the sole purpose of pointing out the flaws of the Old South. She was not a racist.

Awesomeness!

Sunday muse. Enjoy your day beautiful humans.

FRIENDS

I know now, it was then, when you touched my soul
The day you said, “I am worthy,”
I couldn’t believe it.

You didn’t see the blemishes, the past
They were there; hidden behind my camo gear smile
The unworthiness and sorrow

I hated myself
I’d given up
I gave away my power

They all said, you’ll never amount to anything
I believed them, it’s all I could hear,
You said, “don’t listen, you can.”

I thought myself a fool, unworthy
I had nothing, no strength to take heed
“I was different,” you said, “unique.”

I yelled at you, get out of my life.
But you never listened, even when
I’d bottomed out.

Leave me alone.
you never did,
way back when we were only kids.

(now read it from the bottom up)

Great advice about social media etiquette, and how to grow your "Tribe."

Maria Rudesill is an advocate and speaker who is frustrated that families don't know the desperate measures their kids and grand-kids are going to when they want to get high.

Last week, we had to come up with a title. That’s all. The post over at Chuck's site garnered over 400 entries. This week, we had to pick on

Great food choices. Clean restaurant. Good service. Fair price for the food diversity.

Decent food. Good service. A bit pricey. Not as good as Golden Corral.

Horrible service almost every time we went. Loved the food but the manager and staff make this location a 1 star for sure.

Yes, they have great food; however, the attitude of those people--the whole bunch is one of unfriendliness, and "Hey, what do you want!?" I write at the Perk next door and have for more than a year. Every time I relent and decide to give it a try--the same thing--crappy attitudes. They left my wife standing their for about 5 minutes today and never even asked what she wanted--she wanted a buy a salad to go. I think the quality if their food is all that keeps them going.
