David J. Abrams
Obituary

David J. Abrams, 57 of New Street, Amsterdam died unexpectedly Saturday morning July 25, 2015 at home.
He was born in Amsterdam on April 28, 1958 a son of the late John and Patricia Weaver Abrams and was a 1977 graduate of Galway High School. Dave attended FMCC and was a lifelong area resident.
He owned and operated Dave’s Tavern in Galway for twenty five years. During this time, Dave sponsored several sports teams and was a quiet driving force behind numerous charitable causes. He enjoyed the camaraderie and companionship of the local patrons, and always made them feel like part of his family. Dave cared deeply about his family and his community, and was always ready to lend a hand.
At the time of his death, Mr. Abrams was employed as a Teacher’s Assistant at the Broadalbin-Perth School District. He enjoyed working with students and always tried to encourage and support them. Dave established the travel basketball for the district and also coached several soccer, basketball, and baseball teams with the Youth Commission.
Dave was a dedicated Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed sports and music. His greatest delight was spending time with family and friends, living quietly with no fanfare, yet providing strength and protection for those he loved.
Survivors include his loving wife, the former Helen M. Hoffman, whom he married on May 5, 1984; two sons, David R. Abrams, Sr. of Broadalbin and Michael J. Abrams of Amsterdam; two brothers, Thomas Abrams of Yonkers and William Abrams of Murfreesboro, TN; two sisters, Carrie Jones of Gloversville and Theresa Porcello of Hagaman; and two grandchildren, Kaydence Miles and David R. Abrams, Jr..
Cremation was performed at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 -7 at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home, Inc. 111 County Highway 106 (Corner of Route 29 & Black Street) Johnstown. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 10 am at the funeral home with Linda Eastman, trustee of the Hemlock Independent Gospel Church. Final burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Galway. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sports Booster Club at Broadalbin-Perth, in care of the funeral home.

still RACIST.... But what is racist...?   in todays terms that are messed up... is simply to notice a difference in something, someone, an oppinion, or anything....
Why is it so bad to recognize a quality in a race...?   I don;t get it....
They need to find a different word....
I hate haters....
So THAT MAKES ME RACIST...

Love your video....
Yes... All I can aford.... You are correct....
However... I really like the organic and natural life. I travel a lot. I am a dr. . but the life of living off the land is so rewarding.
But the comforts of home (in the US) is relly bad for you. It is bad for your health. To have  matural foods and grow your own food, have a simple home is great...
I have had all the comforts. all the cars, all the houses.....
I am over it....
I want to live in a shack because when it all falls down...
You can rely on the land. and not the SYSTEM,,,,
You are right on so many issues. but I am at the retirment age.  I am giving up much to live in the philippines. because I really miss comunity... neighbor helping neighbor.

William M. Abrams's +1's are the things they like, agree with, or want to recommend.
John Drake is a highly skilled and awesome attorney... He and his wonderful staff handled my case with a level of confidence and skill that produced an outcome that I was sure was in NO WAY POSSIBLE. To say that I would recommend JOHN DRAKE and his staff for anyone out there that's searching for an EXCELLENT ATTORNEY would be an UNDERSTATEMENT . He took the time to really get to know me as a person. Saw that I needed more than just representation. He took a compassionate and caring interest in ME AS A WHOLE. This approach to my defense was key to obtaining the extraordinary outcome that came out of it. God Bless You John Drake... I as well as My Family and others whom depend on me Thank You from the bottom of our heart....

Hey... I found this place on Google. I called and spoke to a gentleman named Dalton. Now, Even though they didn't have one of the things that I needed. It was a real pleasure to talk with him and doing business with people like is key... Having personalities like Dalton's in your business is KEY to the success and I would value him greatly... I have to give only one star to this place. Not papa johns, but this location. You call. Some one picks up and thanks me. Then says "oh, we are closed". When I asked if they could make one more pizza. He said "OH WELL, TOO BAD". Well, I told him how I felt about him and hung up. "Still Hungry & now Grumpy"..

BEWARE . THE FOOD WAS NOT GOOD AT ALL... THE VEGITABLES WHERE TOTALLY SOGGY. THE AMOUNT OF FOOD YOU GET WAS VERY SMALL. THE CALL ABOUT MY PURCHASE WAS MET WITH ((("SORRY, NO REFUND"))) EVEN THOUGH I DID NOT ASK FOR A REFUND. I ONLY THOUGHT IT WAS A MISTAKE....! I WAS INSULTED... NO NAPKINS, NO FORKS OR ANYTHING AT ALL TO EAT IT WITH... WHAT DELIVERY PLACE DOES NOT PROVIDE AT LEAST PLASTIC KNIFES AND A NAPKIN... I DO NOR RECOMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL... I THOUGHT IT WAS A PLACE I ORDERED FROM BEFORE, I MADE A SAD MISTAKE CHOOSING THIS PLACE. BEWARE...
