This is awesome! And 100% accurate
How Good Clients Change Your Life. April 21, 2015. I love it when an agency tells me about their sophisticated clients. They make an agency better primarily for four reasons: Good clients know that good work costs money. You'll figure this out early in the process, too, because they believe that ...

Almost universally, the single most cost-effective method of increasing your sales is email marketing. If someone has provided their email then they’ve already demonstrated they’re interested in your company or product. So why wouldn’t you connect with them via email?

I understand that many news and magazine/blog sites paginate content so they can oversell advertising - which is another topic all together. And I know that slide shows and list articles are very popular. But with the advent of mobile - time and time again, when I visit paginated or slide-based content - it doesn’t work correctly.

Marketing has always been about making things interesting - to pique the curiosity; to foster desire; or to cajole coveting. But sadly, at some point marketing was corrupted by hucksters selling underwhelming crap to under informed consumers. But then things changed and consumers became connected and crap was instantly outed as crap - leaving the hucksters pining for the good ol’ days.

Email marketing is inexpensive, and can be highly effective – but only if you do it right. There are several things you need to keep in mind for successful marketing emails.

As another year draws to a close, hopefully you’re looking back on 365 days of success. Regardless, if they’re better or worse, now is the perfect time to get ready for the new year - even if time is tight.

Some of my favorite design is done with blind spot coating. A blind spot coating is a process by which a design is made simply by printing contrasting clear coatings. It is a very elegant treatment that can make a bold statement. However over my years I have had a question eating at me. Can you do a vignette with the spot varnish?

As we meet with clients for end-of-year review sessions and to continue planning initiatives for next year, we’re both forced to reflect on how well we’ve done. Have we reached our goals? Are things improved?

Positive customer reviews, testimonials, and referrals are tremendously valuable for any business. While reviews on sites such as Yelp are being seen more and more as unreliable, product reviews on retail sites are taken by many consumers to be almost as reliable as a personal recommendation from someone they know.

There’s a lot of discussion today about inbound vs outbound marketing. Inbound marketing, a term coined by HubSpot’s Brian Halligan, is really a redefining of Seth Godin’s permission marketing philosophy. Each defines traditional marketing as outbound aimed at injecting a brand or message in front of a consumer with the hope they’ll take notice and be swayed. Seth Godin describes this as interruption marketing.

One of the challenges we encounter is overly-ambitious marketing goals. Some that are so fantastic, if they actually came to fruition they’d probably ruin the business. It’s why we often ask,

I adopted two cats from the AAC shelter. And everyone was very kind and concerned I'd take good care of my cats. I had to fill out an application and wait three days for them to check me out. When I adopted my cats - it was maybe $100 for both of them - but that was almost six years ago. I think they do a terrific job at the shelter, managing on very limited budget and with the small donations they receive. I know they're always trying to do the best they can and they want to give the best treatment to all their animals.
