Aww, look what you made me do. I swore off this blogging thing ages ago. This bullshit meme about hypothyroidism--in the absence of actual thyroid gland disease--keeps cropping up all over the place. It's a great strategy for...

Red wine and chocolate may be good for you, but it's likely not from the resveratrol. A study finds that the antioxidant had no influence on longevity, cancer, heart disease or inflammation levels.

majorly important is this topic. Probably the devil in the details regarding why fat is vilified in study after observational study. Although i doubt it would make much of a difference if people really knew how carcinogenic cooking is, how atherosclerotic. The stroke belt of the south is pretty incontrovertible evidence that deep fried is NOT the way to go. But as they say its easier to change a persons religion, than their diet. Not that there is even a meaningful distinction in my opinion. . .

French wine consumption fell 7 percent between 2012 and 2013, while U.S. consumption grew by 0.5 percent, a report finds. Still, the French drink six times more wine per head than Americans.
