I storified a 30ish tweet rant I just made about the nothing at the bottom of all human action, as exemplified by rich people buying garbage from each other.

My apartment hasn't been this clean and neat in months. I'll start on the art studio tomorrow. Tonight, a finger of Maple Rye Whisky followed by some tea, and a little work on some video. Cold air coming in the window. It's nice to be alive tonight.

I have a thing for gorgons, and this one nails every bit of it. Modern monster movie takes on Medusa always lose the injustice. She was cursed by a jealous goddess to be a mockery of life. When she was young, beautiful and human, to look at her was to see the promise of living. Once divine jealousy warped that through a mirror curse, to look on her drove life away so forcefully that the basic flesh of the viewer surrendered vitality to the mineral. A great gorgon story has not yet been told. But this picture has all the pieces of it.

This looks like just two models duplicated to make this crowd, but how gorgeous is this?

I made a sort of multimedia essay out of a twitter rant from a couple of weeks ago. I'd love to get your reaction to it. The subject is something I'm fighting to know.

Introduction
I'm still an artist. I make my money running some things in a Very Serious Business, but I come home to ink, chalk, paint, pixels and gorgeous words. I am creative and well off. I'd like to be a genius and fantastically rich. Every boy needs to be a hero.

Everything is interesting, I can never know enough. If you have ideas and like braiding them in and around other people's, then I so want to know you.

The lyrics matter more. Good music is wonderful, but if I can only have one or the other, I'll pick poetry. Bjork does both, every time. Fiona Apple too. PJ Harvey. Amanda Palmer. Peter Gabriel. Pink Floyd. But I'm just as happy with the poets: Tom Waits, Nicki Minaj, Leonard Cohen, Ani DiFranco, Paul Simon. For just sound there is always Dead Can Dance.
