I'm selfish, private, and easily bored. Will that be a problem?

I saw this for the first time during the games last night.  I don't know that it makes me want to shop at Dicks, but it is a pretty amazing piece of filmmaking.

2014 Football Schedule is out.

Opening with Arkansas is pretty rough.  Also, the other shoe finally drops on our home-and-home with KState that started in 2007.  We pick up a home game against South Carolina from the east.  And we pay the price for playing UGA and Bama at home this year, going to both next year.

I want to throw a movie recommendation out to my fellow sci-fi nerds: Europa Report.  +Kim White and I watched it last night and I thought it was really good.

It's a super low budget "found footage" style thriller, and what I loved most about it is that the science stuff is really well founded.  There is no artificial drama inserted other than the difficulties encountered on the mission.  It is a little slow at times, but space travel can be long and tedious. The scenes not presented in chronological order, which can be a little confusing, but I didn't find it that hard to follow.  And, even though you often know what is coming, the film manages to build tension and pay it off in exciting ways.

The movie is coming out in theaters in August, but you can actually watch it now on Amazon Instant Video, which is what we did (it's also available on iTunes).

The alternative medicine folks, the organic farming movement, the makers of vitamins, the purveyors of wheat-grass juice and sellers of Kombucha tea, all of them are making big money off the widespread public belief that Natural=good and Chemical/drug/synthetic/GMO=bad because Nature didn't make it. But Nature’s not your mom; she’s more like a crazy bitch. We're here on this planet by total accident and we'd be crazy to assume that Nature is looking out for us. There’s nothing wrong with trying to improve on Nature, in fact that’s how we make progress.
