This place has improved quite a bit compared to the last time we stayed a couple years ago. We were just looking for somewhere to go on a romantic getaway for a night or two. We checked into a regular room with a king size bed and spa. The room itself was nice and the bed had been recently replaced and felt like it was tempurpedic. The only downside was that after you ran the jets in the spa a few times in a row it would start putting out cold air which didnt take long to make the water pretty cold. Overall i would recommend this place to any couple who was looking for a place to get away and relax. However i would recommend going during the week if you want to use the pool because during the weekend (especially Saturday) the pool is overrun with kids! Even the hot tub had 6 or 7 kids under the age of 10 when we arrived and management does not do anything to keep them out even though the sign says 16 and up.. However, when we got into the hot tub all the kids left after a few minutes and would randomly come back to check and see if we had left. The worst thing about this place was the hallways which were in pretty rough shape and the fact that we went when there was a million kids.

My husband and I went for our honeymoon. We stayed in the Arctic Cave. It was clean, cozy, and perfect if you want to relax and have a private getaway. The pool and hot tub were both very nice. I enjoyed our stay and we would like to come back.

This could be a nice place to stay if they would put a little bit of that money they steal from us back into it for maintenance. Dirty, bugs, poorly maintained hotel = Not a nice place to stay. We ended up in three different rooms due to issues. 1. What ever you do don't go for the 50's Happy Days room unless it's just you and your 4 year old child. The steering wheel was in the way so you can't sleep two adults side by side without one persons legs being on top of the others. There was no phone in the room, although they insisted there was. They said it was disguised as a car. Well, there were three model cars on the wall, but none of them were phones. The Radio they had on top of the jukebox didn't work, the was not enough lighting in the room to be able to read the remotes to figure out how to turn on the TV and projector. The only comfortable place to watch TV was laying in the car, but the windshield was dirty. I guess they wanted to give a realistic experience. At this point we asked for a different room. 2. They put us in the Nautical room which at first appeared fine. First issue.was the AC was out. We called the desk and they sent someone out to look at it. He got to our room and said they just fixed this recently, and called another guy out. They said they were going outside to look at the AC unit, but we never heard from them again. Second issue was the tv remote didn't work from the bed unless you were at the bottom edge of the bed where you feet go. If you were back where you would normally lay, it didn't work. Third issue, although a small issue, it still sucked. The back end of the bed was three feet from the wall. You couldn't sit up in bed and lean back. It was lay flat or sit with no support. We asked for another room. They gave us the Oriental room. 3. The Oriental room was nice. The only issue was the volume didn't work from the TV remote. Small issue, no big deal really. 4. The Wi-Fi was horrible and didn't work the entire weekend. Called the front desk and they said it was working and there was no issue, it must be our laptops. It wasn't our laptops. They would work if we took them to the main building. They said there was a setting wrong on the laptop. NO, not the issue. I am a IT Tech and deal with these issues all the time. The issue was not our laptops, or our cell phones that would not connect either. Although we ended up in a nice room, the experience was not even close to being worth the money they charge for these rooms. Your money is better spent on a nice hotel somewhere else.

When we showed up at the 4:00 check-in time and went to our room, it was dirty and had not been cleaned yet. There was trash and dirty towels throughout the room. We went back to the front desk and told the employee about it, he offered to move us to another room, but we wanted the room that we had booked, so he told us we could wait by the pool while it was cleaned and he would let us know when it was ready. We waited for exactly an hour and went back to the front desk to check. He acted like he had forgot about us, but he called the housekeeper and she said the room was clean, so who knows how long it was ready while we were standing around doing nothing. The front desk was nice enough about it I guess, but no discount or partial refund or anything else was offered for the inconvenience. After we moved into our room we came back to the pool area an hour later and there was another couple checking in and said that their room had not been cleaned either. The pool area was nice, but when we stayed on January 2nd it was 9 degrees out and snowing, and one of the sliding windows by the pool was stuck open, so it was very cold outside of the pool. Overall the room was neat, but probably wouldn't bother going back again unless we had young kids.

We stayed in the Pirate suite. I wish we would have brought the kiddos. The Pirate suite would sleep 5, easily. There is a King bed, two bunks and a Murphy bed on the second floor loft. There is a whirlpool tub that easily fits two people, and there was plenty of hot water. The tub did sound like a jet engine, but it's older, and it did work. The room was well designed, and a marvel to stare at. The floor were hardwood planks and the authenticity of the pirate theme was detailed and nice. The bathroom had a huge, tiled shower, which was a nice touch. I checked and didn't see any evidence of bedbugs. The room was clean, like my house is clean. If I went over a surface with a white glove, I would have brought up dust and some grime. The bathroom toilet was not connected to the ground and the sink was dripping. The shower curtain was too small for the oversize shower. There is a window unit AC, only. Bring your own towels. The entire resort smells like chlorine, not unlike any other resort with a water feature. The price is a bit high, but it was a good time.

We arrived put our things in our room and went straight to the game room. The games took most of the kids tokens and didn't work. After them having zero fun we changed into our bathing suits and headed to the pool. The pool had tiles missing with very sharp edges on them. The pool water made everyone itch and even gave one of us a rash. The sauna had writing all over the inside of it and was in terrible condition. The pool area hate ants everywhere. The pool area is very out dated with broken things all over the place. The baby pool was a gross joke. When getting back to our room so we could take a shower because of all of us itching from the pool. We noticed that there was mold all over the bathroom ceiling, there was a sticker on the bathroom wall. The tv was outdated, There was a hole in the floor in the middle of the room covered by the carpet. Something was biting us in the room. We got our stuff packed back up and check out of this hotel and went to the Days inn. Would never stay in this place again. Its not the type of place you want to stay let alone with kids.
