A number of our Engage touch screen customers may have experienced an issue on Tuesday 17th November. This problem manifested itself in patients not being able to check in for their appointment on the touch screen.

Our initial investigation pointed to the issue being with the EMIS application. Whilst this was a problem outside of our control, we immediately escalated this with our service management counterparts at EMIS Health to ensure swift resumption of service.

In addition to this, we added an introductory message to our telephone support line informing all customers of a potential problem.

EMIS worked quickly to resolve the issue and they identified the fault as follows:

“The (EMIS) API servers were patched the night before. As an unexpected side effect, some scheduled jobs were still running when they should have not been. Once identified, these were ended which resolved the slowness experienced by users.”

We would like to thank all our customers for their patience and should you experience any further disruption please feel free to contact the Wiggly-Amps support team on 01263 834 648.

Wiggly-Amps score an ISO hat-trick!

Wiggly-Amps Ltd (Wiggly-Amps) a leading provider of Patient Facing Services for GP surgeries - "Connecting Patients and Clinicians" , has scored a hat-trick of International Standards Organisation (ISO) accreditations.  Excellence in Quality, Service Management and Information Security is something that Wiggly-Amps continually strive for and these ISO accreditations represents an external validation of their commitment in order to embed and deliver these values throughout the organisation and more importantly, to their customers.

The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) is the World's largest developer of voluntary international standards which acknowledges industry best practice.  Following a comprehensive, independent auditing process, Wiggly-Amps has successfully achieved the ISO 9001, 20000 and 27001 accreditations, which recognises their commitment to Quality, Service Management and Information Security.

In June 2015, Wiggly-Amps was awarded the ISO 20000 IT Service Management System accreditation to reflect their commitment to exceptional customer service throughout the organisation and that their processes are aligned to deliver this.  Obtaining this accrediation is essential in demonstrating to new and existing clients that Wiggly-Amps deliver to the standards that they promise.

The ISO 9001 Quality Management System accreditation is the World's most widely recognised quality management standard and demonstrates Wiggly-Amps' ability to consistently deliver better quality management to reduce errors and boost customer satisfaction through a company culture of continual improvement.

As a technology provider to the NHS, Wiggly-Amps regard information security as highly important and they are pleased to announce that the ISO 27001 information security management accreditation validates Wiggly-Amps’ implementation of the best controls to identify and minimise any risks to confidential information, as well as highlighting the quality and robustness of its software solutions.

Jon Witte, Managing Director of Wiggly-Amps comments "Wiggly-Amps are incredibly proud of this achievement and this is a reflection of how hard everyone has worked to achieve a hat-trick of ISO accreditations.  As a SME, we are especially delighted that Wiggly-Amps has gained independent recognition from a World recognised organisation and that we have an embedded company culture of continual commitment to improving quality management.  With the recent framework award for the GP System of Choice (GPSoC), this represents another successful step to achieving our goal of Connecting Patients and Clinicians."

Wiggly-Amps is focused on "Connecting Patients and Clinicians" and through their Engage patient arrival system, has successfully checked in nearly 12 millions patients for their doctors' appointments and with askmyGP, can achieve an average GP's time saving of 40% per patient use.
