Perfect example of how Coffee improves every "holiday"
‪#‎NationalDaiquiriDay‬ http://wapo.st/29Sba6e
Portland's robust coffee culture inspired this smooth cocktail, which is a recent addition to the menu at Clyde Common, a popular tavern in the Oregon city.

WARNING WARNING WARNING! THIS COMPANY IS FROM ANOTHER PLANET.In August,2012 we purchased our Gaggia Platinum Swing for not much under a 1000 bucks over the phone from Mark at Whole Latte Love in New York after we couldn't find a similar quality machine in San Diego,Ca.He even threw in an extra 12 months warranty parts only on top of the normal 12 months warranty to sweeten the deal.We were very happy with the machine for about the first year. However in the latter half of 2013 we noticed small drops of water underneath the machine near where the water reservoir sits nearly every time we ran the steam. We had owned 3 cheaper brand expresso machines previously over a period of 10 years and the only one that leaked ended up in the trash bin.The occasional leaking persisted even after extra descaling and checking that the water filter was in place properly so it started to became a worry even though the machine still made great cappuccinos. In January,2014 we decided to call customer service at Whole Latte Love in Rochester and ask about the leaking problem. The technician got me to pull the brew head out and check a few spots inside but basically said unless we see coffee dregs in the water droplets under the machine then not to worry because a bit of water leaking underneath is not unusual. For the next few months we continued to make our cappuccinos every morning and the water droplets became little pools of water. After almost 2 years and nearly out of any warranty the steam to froth the milk sometimes would refuse to come on.In the end we gave up and contacted these guys again two months after all warranty ran out.We managed to speak to Andrew the customer service manager who initially said that we would have to send the machine to New York and pay for it to be repaired. This was on top of us paying for shipping to and from Rochester which would come to $220.After pointing out that we had contacted them almost 12 months ago about the leaking problem he relented on charging us for repairs. We paid the $220 UPS shipping to and from Rochester and our repaired Gaggia machine has been back with us a week now and thankfully is not leaking anymore. As we were told a seal had perished and this had damaged a little circuit board so both these parts had been replaced at a cost of less than $100 + labor which we didn't have to pay.We don't have high hopes that this machine will see out the 5 years we hoped it might last to justify the high cost of purchase. This is because a West Coast Gaggia authorized repairer told us the Gaggia Platinum Vision is poorly designed and uses cheap quality seals which don't last long. When we initially purchased the machine from these guys in New York and it was shipped to us free of charge we never imagined nor did the sales guy Mark inform us that the machine could only be shipped to their facility in Rochester if it needed repairs and that we would be liable for ALL SHIPPING COSTS ......even during the warranty period.WE WILL NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN and probably will not buy a Gaggia expresso machine again either. If our repaired machine does not last at least another 3 years then Whole Latte Love will wish they had never sold it to us.I promise. If you are smart then I suggest you avoid buying anything from Whole Latte Love.

I would not purchase from this company. My wife and I purchased an Expobar Brewtus OCT2014. The machine never did work 100%. It would leak and at times not heat up correctly. My wife e-mailed Customer Service and was told the warranty was expired. We took the machine to a reputable Seattle Espresso machine repair shop. After evaluation we were told the "heating element on the coffee boiler is grounding to the water tank which means it ruptured inside the tank". This is a machine that is not even 18 months old and cost $1,849.00. To repair the machine will cost $675.00. I called Whole Latte Love Customer Service Amanda who forwarded me to Tech Support and I spoke with manager Maggie and explained our situation. Maggie informed me our warranty was expired. Of course we could ship the machine to them and they would evaluate and fix it at our cost. After pointing out again that the machine is only 18 months old, should not have a major malfunction and does not Whole Latte Love stand behind their product Maggie bluntly and directly informed me our "warranty was expired" and they would gladly fix it at our cost. I informed Maggie we would not be doing business again with Whole Latte Love.

Thank you for reaching out to us!   While service is always an option for many of our less tech-savvy customers, We are glad to facilitate those who are more mechanically inclined.  We currently stock the parts needed to fix your machine and offer comprehensive instructions for replacing this part yourself.  If this is something you would like to pursue, our Technical Support experts would be glad to quote out the cost of the parts and send you a copy of the instructions by email. Simply reach out to them by phone, email or chat and they'll help you out. As your machine's warranty has expired, we are not able to cover the cost of its service but are here to offer our repair center's capabilities to you should the need arise.  For all non-warranty service, the customer is responsible for packaging and shipping the machine to and from our repair center, along with the cost of parts and labor.  You can find out more information about this process here: https://www.wholelattelove.com/pages/repair-center.

I just picked up my certified refurb from WLL today and my experience with Dan M. was great. He was knowledgeable about the various products and was patient with my inexperience with superautomatic machines. I wouldn't hesitate in dealing with Dan again and time will tell on how the refurb will do.

I really like Whole Latte Love! Ive been buying coffee from Whole Latte Love for a few years, and have never had problems with customer service or shipping. I prefer supporting a smaller company that isn't Amazon or another big chain. Im looking into getting an espresso machine soon, and Whole Latte Love will be the first place I go!

Read the responses from whole latte love in these reviews and they are affirming the bad reviews by simply stating that their warranty is for a certain period and that you have to pay for shipping. No kidding! But they do not address complaints from consumers that contacted them for service WITHIN THE WARRANTY PERIOD who were told to follow their instructions on how to "fix" the machines themselves, only to run out the warranty clock by doing what they were told. Brilliant move, whole latte love, I'm done with your company.

Our technicians take a customer's willingness to work with us on attempting self-service their machine into consideration when when considering the warranty eligibility period. If a customer begins troubleshooting a problem with us within the warranty period in order to avoid having to ship it in, and maintained regular contact while actively working to resolve the issue with our technicians, we're typically glad to work with them to ensure that they aren't left without a safe path to recovery

This is the second review that we've written. After we received our "repaired" machine back (it took two weeks to ship it back to us) it worked for about days then all of a sudden the brewing boiler went Tango Uniform! So my husband called customer support and told them and they told him to take the machine apart, upon which he replied, "Doesn't that void the warranty?" to which they replied, "No." Okay, so once he got into the machine he noticed a male/female connection that had completely come apart and it definitely was nothing we'd done since we hadn't touched it! So once he connected that it has worked fine. The annoying thing about all their employees from customer service( if you can call it that) to customer support is that they refuse to take responsibility for ANYTHING! It was apparent that their repairman had not completely connected and put the machine back together properly, but their reply was, "Oh, it must have come loose during shipping." If this connection had been connected properly there was no way for it to have come apart. My husband was a commercial airline pilot for 30 years and knows as much about the wiring of an airplane as the mechanics, my point being that there are not many people who would have felt comfortable taking apart an espresso machine and fixing it. But Whole Latte Love will not admit to any wrong doing or take any responsibility for anything. They'll take your money, but they'll also return your machine in an inferior condition. Whole Latte Crap is more like it.

Hi Tove, all of our repairs are tested prior to leaving our repair facility and we do everything in our power to package your machine to ensure it arrives in good condition; however, due to the rigors of shipping, sometimes wires or clips can come detached in transit. It looks like our technical support team was able to help your husband correct this issue over the phone. Please don't hesitate to let us know if there's anything else we can help with, we'd be more than happy to help!

Worst. Experience. Ever. I should have read the reviews before purchasing. Luckily for me, I purchased 1 of the 3 machines I needed at the time. The time that the machine has been down since purchase has already cost me more than the machine itself. *** If you are reading the reviews, do not purchase from this company. All of the evidence here says that you will have an awful experience.
Response from the owner - 2 weeks ago
Hi Patrick, I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your machine. We do offer technical support and assistance with the Gaggia line. We'd be happy to help with the troubles you're experiencing and see if we can't get them solved so your Titanium can get back up and running! Our Customer Service Manager will be emailing you shortly.

Wow. Very surprised by the bad reviews. I love these guys! Best prices on the web but they price match if you find it cheaper. I buy all of my espresso from them & my orders are always extraordinarily quick & they are accurate. They save me money! Frequent sales.
