Because, clearly, hiding the fact you're a jerk is much preferred to actually not being a jerk in the first place////

Wow. Guess it was only a matter of time. He clearly didn't learn his lesson...and doesn't seem to be taking responsibility for it either. Maybe he should run for Congress :)

This is something you just have to read to believe.  I love the Dad's response, and the Principal clearly needs to get a sense of humor.
An anonymous reader writes Nine-year-old Aiden Steward has been suspended by officials at a Texas school after he allegedly threatened to use his magic ring to make another boy disappear. His father says the family had watched The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies last weekend. His son brought a...

A good article in the Delco times about the election.

It is hard to believe this is going on when there are a record number of women running for office in PA
On a Pennsylvania TV show in July, Tom Corbett said women should want liquor law reform because it will allow them to prepare dinner more quickly.

Introduction

Hi! My name is Whitney Hoffman, and I’ve been involved in New Media and Social Media for the past five years, both as a content producer and as the organizer of digital media conferences.  I’ve organized Podcamp community new media conferences in Philadelphia, New York and Boston, and as Director of Operations for the Podcamp Foundation, I regularly consult with organizers of similar conferences in other cities around the Country.

I am the CEO of Hoffman Digital Media, LLC, helping businesses maximize the value of their online presence, including both their traditional websites and social media integration.  I also produce podcasts, including OB GYN To Go, geared towards medical resident education, and the LD Podcast, an internet radio show about learning and learning disabilities featuring interviews, that features interviews I’ve conducted with well-known experts including Dr. Robert Brooks, Anne Ford, and Marcus Buckingham, as well as educators and specialists in the learning field.

My education and my experience being the parent of two boys with learning disabilities has driven my interest in helping other parents and educators find the best tools available to help their children bridge the gap between failure and success in school.

I have co-written The Differentiated Instruction Book of Lists with Jenifer Fox for Jossey Bass, Wiley's education division.  Our book helps teachers understand each child's learning needs and help make the small alterations in the curriculum necessary to help every child maximize their learning in the classroom.

I speak regularly to business groups and have done a Social Media series for AGS University, spoken at Ignite Wilmington about unconferences, and The New Castle County Chamber of Commerce on Social Media 101 for Businesses.

I’ve spoken at many blogging and Podcasting conferences, including BlogPhiladelphia, Podcamp conferences, Web 2Open in NYC in 2009, and at Podcasters Across Borders 2008 and 2009 in Kingston, ON.

I have an undergraduate degree in developmental biology from the University of Pennsylvania, and a JD from the Dickinson School of Law of Penn State.  I co-wrote Public Assembly Facility Law with Turner D. Madden for the International Association of Assembly Managers and presented at their annual conference.  While working with Mr. Madden, I helped design the Americans with Disabilities Act access program for the National Football League and the SuperBowl, as well as providing on-site services for the event for eight years.

I’ve blogged for the Philadelphia Inquirer and Philly.com as part of Philadelphia’s Great Expectations Project.  My personal new media projects include my personal blog, discussing finance, business, social media and more which can be found at www.whitneyhoffman.com.

I finally got my sons & Husband to go to a regular salon at Castaldi's. One son will not let anyone but Dario touch his hair (unless there is an emergency). We're very happy with the service and the style- thank you so much!

We contracted for a firewood delivery before the upcoming storm. I was assured the wood would be delivered; I called and was told the wood was being loaded and would be delivered as promised- they let us down. 5 hours later from "I'm on m way" - no phone call, no wood, and now we are without other options. Not nice, Gallo.

I've been going to Michael Christopher for years, and I love Kim in particular. I showed her a picture of what my hair color was in high school, and she's been able to make it match with helping me with my grey as well. I always feel great leaving there, and it was the first salon I ever went to that had computers and wifi available for clients. They also have amazing accessories for sale up front, and I always find something for myself or gifts for friends that are unique and special.

I called these folks to deliver firewood before the upcoming storm. I even called to confirm. I was told it was on its way, but it never showed up and we're expecting a huge storm. You are leaving me and my family in the lurch. Even a phone call so we could have made other plans would have been helpful.
