It was my first time at Wheeling Island Casino. The people at the desk were extremely helpful with all of us. The casino was very clean and the staff was very nice. The FreePlay is definitely a nice perk. The only downfall of the casino were the drinks. Prices of the drinks were very reasonable, but also very weak. My gin and tonic tasted like soda water, not even a hint of tonic. All in all it was a good experience aside from the drinks.

It was Ok. Food was Ok. Drinks were a bit pricey. Gift show was eh. Surrounding neigborhood was atrocious. Not safe.

Adopted a retired racing dog from the track. The animals were in good living conditions and very healthy. The staff was very nice and helpful.

A friend and I played at the casino. We were there for a couple of hours. We had fun. They've added a lot of new machines recently. It was late in the evening so we could get to any machine we wanted. It was clean and the beverage areas were well stocked.

Its a fun place overall but if you plan on being a regular customer and spend decent money be careful. I'm a regular player their and usually spend around 500 per visit and have been getting screwed out of my free play for the last 3 visits. I've talked to player services every time I've been their and they even verified that they have made a mistake and said that they wld have it fixed immediately and its been 3 weeks. They keep blaming it on a computer glitch and saying that the head of marketing has to fix it, so apparently they never work or just don't care. I even sent an email through the website and never got a response. Its a real shame to because I did enjoy myself their. So just beware and until this is resolved I'm going back to mountaineer gaming resort because I've never had a problem their and anyone I've known who has had it resolved on the spot.

First time here but had a good time. Easy to get to from 70. Plenty of slots, so never had to wait on one. They allow smoking but it wasn't overwelmming to where it bothered me plus there is a non smoking section.

This was my first time experiencing the casino. I went to the buffet where the food was excellent!!!! Desserts weren't as good, but the buffet with the dinner food was awesome and the rolls and cornbread were fresh! I enjoyed the racetrack . There was a man thst collapsed and casino staff did not seem prepared to deal with an emergency. Being a nurse, i had asked about an AED, but nobody seemed to know anything. Im not a smoker, but do play a lot, and all the best games seemed to be in smoking areas. The freeplay for new members was decent. Overall, i really enjoyed the buffet, and would come back for that and the dogs.

WIHCR is great fun! There are three Pokéstops and a Pokégym on property and 4 more within walking distance. There is good food and great food on site. While a bit pricey, it's "resort" pricing, as once might expect. Rooms are clean, check-in was easy. My only complaint is the lack of stock in the gift shop. There could be a wider variety of cigars and a bottle of wine or liquor or 2.
