OCD isn't just that "neat freak" thing that so many people believe it is, it is so much more.
A day in the life, some tools to manage, and some information about: intrusive thoughts.
#chronicallyawesome #ocd
When I am anxious my brain finds thoughts and does not let go. In OCD speak, this is called "Intrusive Thoughts". It is more annoying than I can ever say.

Sometimes we need some help being #ChronicallyAwesome. We are not The Energizer Bunny, we are not Nike commercials. It's not easy to "Just Do It".
I really hate asking for help, but on a day that I can't 'just do it' and it must be done... I always promise my helper some of my time on a later date.

Today is Rare Disease Day. #RDD2015 #NORD
I have a rare disease. I can tell you first hand that it is hard. Please support someone with a rare disease. Having a rare disease can feel very lonely, very painful, and very frightening.
Just a hug. A phone call. Acknowledgment.

Day one and Day 2: I drove up to LA two days in a row for MRI's of my spine this week. I got to rock sexy in these scrubs for your #ChronicallyAwesome entertainment.

Overdoing it is not #ChronicallyAwesome.
See when my #ChronicallyAwesome turned into my #WTF moment.
When I know myself, I will know my Awesome vs. my WTF. When I think I know where I am, the finishline moves. I have a few things to learn, I am young.

When #ChronicallyAwesome and overdoing it collide.
Meet my #WTF moment.

The professional patient knows how to rock the exam table.
The professional patient also knows to bring reading material to the exam table for those times you lay partially disrobed for nearly 45 minutes waiting for the doctor.
This never happens at my GP. My GP's office has a 5 min wait policy and has never failed to see me 5 min BEFOREHAND my scheduled time. My doctor retrieves me from the lobby and does not leave me to wait in the exam room (which is 1/2 her office as well)

This was a pretty special specialist so I didn't complain.
When they have sharp objects near important parts, just stay cool, calm, and #ChronicallyAwesome.
