I checked into the hotel on Sunday January 16th, 2016 for a single night’s stay. My initial impression was great! The staff was friendly and helpful, the room had a nice view, and it was very relaxing. The trouble didn’t start until I checked out the next morning. I noticed when I got home that I had bites covering the left side of my body. I checked with a couple of nurses that I know and they said that the bites looked like Bed Bugs. They advised me to sterilize all of my belongings immediately, and wash all of my clothes in hot water. I called the hotel to notify them of the problem so that at the very least they could address the issue for future guests. The woman I spoke with seemed to be quite dismissive and asked me how I knew it was their hotel where I came in contact with the bugs. I told her which room I’d stayed in, and the circumstances of my visit and consequent events, and she told me only that she would notify maintenance of the issue before saying "Have a nice day". No apology, no sense of wrongdoing on their part. No further contact has been made in regards to this issue. I HIGHLY recommend STAYING AT A DIFFERENT HOTEL.

Bug accusations are taken very serious at our resort and we advise our guests to contact us immediately while in house as they allows us the opportunity to rectify the situation. Once a guest leaves there is no way for us to verify and rectify there concerns. We apologize for inconvenience this may have caused and will share you comments with management. The staff were great, allowing us to check in extra early when we asked about our theme park tickets at 9:00 am. It is a timeshare resort, so they did ask us to attend a breakfast meeting for a $75 credit, but didn't pressure us when we declined to attend. The room was awesome, as pictured. They provided enough supplies to keep us going throughout our stay. There is also a Walmart a mile down the road between the resort and Universal, so it was really convenient to get groceries on the way back from the park.

The location is great! Very central to all of the theme parks! The amenities list is long and very neatly kept. We had a lot of fun going paddleboarding and doing activities in the activities center. The only two negatives I can say are that the buildings' parking lots are too small for the amount of cars and guests that come to stay and you usually have to park somewhat far away if you return to the resort late. Also the WiFi signal is abysmal during peak hours and if you come to work, your work will definitely be slowed down if you need to use Internet.

On the other hand, we regret to see that you experienced some challenges. Wi-Fi is a popular amenity and can sometimes cause connectivity issues. Please do not hesitate to contact our staff to express your concerns as they have troubleshooting techniques. In regards to parking, our resort has a convenient parking garage to suite your needs. Shuttle service is also available to and from your unit and surrounding resort amenities for convenience. I have stayed here many times over the years. But did not have the newly refurbished unit until now. All I can say is they are very nice! The staff has always been great to us whether needing extra towels or a ride across the complex! I will definitely be back! We stayed in a two bedroom villa! The location is great also!

Picked a "King Bed . . .Villa" what a joke! Room was impossibly small, very low quality, small television. Not even a decent bedspread on the bed, a crummy blanket, with another crummy blanket just like it in the wardrobe. This room cost $145.00, with tax, after Expedia's discount, Too Much!! Not even worth it. Yes, it had a kitchette w/fridge, microwave, dishwasher, but the bathroom and master bed area was way too small! Also, from the Beginning the services lacked. We received room let's that didn't work, we waited for 25 minutes for staff to come to us with keys to Let Us Into Our Room!!! No-one came for another 15 min. We found a maid to let us in between those times. Just ridiculous!! Then, the next day, after we Had our the do not disturb sign on the door, the damn maids banged on our door Twice to try and clean. Come on!! This is supposed to be a Hotel, Restful? Also, they had staff zipping around in gold carts way too fast. Plus, they had completely inadequate parking for the lumber of guests. We had to park so far away from our room, and it was only 1am. It was totally unsafe, I didn't appreciate having to walk so far. Lets see, oh yeah, the bed was pretty old too, it felt pretty worn in, old mattress. All in all, we won't be staying here ever again and won't be recommending it to anyone either.

Stayed here a little over a month ago. To be honest the Resort is beautiful and has a great location to Universal Studios and such. As far as the staff (most of the security staff) very unprofessional. First night there, came back after a late night out, didn't remember my room number and I couldn't contact my friend I staying with. I was asked to leave because the staff did not believe me that I was staying at the property. I decided to wait it off in front of the resort, still on the property, literally feet from the lobby, inside the secured gated area, As I waiting on the bench on the walkway into the lobby all my possessions were stolen off of me. My watch, wallet, iPhone. When I finally had the opportunity to inform the front desk of my friends last name that I was staying with, then they walked me to my room. Next day I spoke with the security and filed a report. They asked me at first not to contact the Orlando Police since it was a matter that they could resolve. I asked if the security officer if he could check the video footage seeing that the bench I was on was under video surveillance. He said politely he couldn't view it, but the head of security could, but she was currently not there. When contacted by the head of security ,she said that she couldn't view it without submitting a form to corporate which could take days to process. Later that day I got a call from the head of security stating that they didn't see anyone on the property but me at that time and that I didn't have my watch on my hand when I arrived, but i did have my wallet and phone. The only reason she knew I had my phone and wallet was because the security officer that night saw it in my hand when I couldn't find my room. I ended up leaving a few days later because absolutely nothing came out of this, no contact, no apology , nothing. A month or so later and still nothing. Nothing even from the Orlando Police Department. My investigator told me he was going on a two week vacation and he would pick up with me where he left off. Still nothing. My credit card was used several at places around the surrounding area. I just didn't "misplace" these items on the property. Clearly there is a lack of security on this property. Beautiful property, but would you feel safe?

I stayed there last week and was appalled that they charge $10 per day/ per device for Wi-Fi if you are not an owner at Westgate. They also charge $20 per person per day for the water park if you do not own at Westgate. Then they used unethical sales tactics to try to talk me into purchasing a time share. The facilities were nice but their signage needs improvement. Building numbers are difficult to see, especially at night.
