Are you registered to vote? If so, do you plan on voting According to the US Census, there are approximately 15,000 Simpsonville residents who are eligible to vote. According to scvotes.org, 11,000 of those residents are registered to vote this year. However, in the last election only about 1100 residents voted.

Simpsonville is a great city, however, many residents would like to see some changes. In order to get those changes, the right people must be making the decisions. What changes would you like to see happen? Who do you think will be able to make those changes happen?

Be a part of the future of your city. If you haven’t already registered to vote, there’s still time. The deadline to register is October 3, 2015. Registering to vote is only the beginning, make sure to get out there on November 3, 2015 and cast your vote for those candidates who you believe will make Simpsonville better than it already is.

Not sure who or what to vote for? Voting will be for Mayor, and three city council seats, Ward 1, Ward 3, and Ward 5. Regardless of where in the city you live, you may vote for each one. Several of the candidates offer an online presence (Facebook, website, Twitter, etc...). There are also several upcoming events which will allow residents to meet these candidates to help in making your decision.

If during your research, you are unable to find information on any candidate, feel free to email westwood@westwoodneighborhood.org and we will try our best to point you in the right direction.
