Our stay at the West Hill House was none other than spectacular. From the time we booked until the time we checked out, Susan and Peter made us feel welcomed and provided us with a relaxing weekend. Each morning Susan and Peter created and served a scrumptious three-course breakfast that accommodated our dietary needs. We found our room (The Garden Room) to be charming and enjoyed putting puzzles together in the sitting room while sipping on a hot cup of coffee. Susan and Peter are extremely knowledgeable about the area and have truly mastered the art of hospitality. Our experience at the West Hill House was so enjoyable that we are already making plans to return. Thank you Susan and Peter for an amazing weekend.

Fabulous! My wife and I had a fabulous Valentine's Day stay at the West Hill House B&B, thanks to the innkeepers, Peter and Susan MacLaren. If there's one thing that will affect the quality of a vacation, it's the manner in which those in charge treat you. Peter and Susan provided a level of friendliness, accommodation, and attention to detail beyond anything we'd experienced before. Their B&B is loaded with charm and everything is very well thought out, such as ways of summoning them when you need them and helpful little signs on how to do things. The 3 common areas are spacious and spread out, yet cozy, warm, and very comfortable. Breakfast was super delicious and included breakfast dessert, a great idea! They kept snacks and treats replenished throughout the inn and the honor-system bar was well stocked with local brews and a nice selection of spirits, including a fine array of single malts. The location is ideal for alpine skiing and all manner of activities in the valley. We can barely wait until our next visit with the MacLarens!

My bride and I just got back from a 4 night stay on our honeymoon at West Hill House over Presidents Day Weekend. To say the least we loved it! We stayed in the Mountain Room which was very clean, we had our own hot tub, and a very comfortable king-size bed. We spent our nights by the fire enjoying the peace and quiet and coziness of the fire. Peter and Susan were excellent hosts, they're very personable, Susan is an excellent cook, and more then helpful with everything that we needed. We had some great days of skiing, and great dining at local restaurants they recommended and took care of reservations. We have every intention of returning to West Hill House, well worth the trip!

We stayed here for 3 nights during our honeymoon. This B&B was, by far, our favorite place to stay during the trip. Peter and Susan went above and beyond anything we could have imagined. They have small touches that just make your stay that much better. They really know the area well, and will help you get the most out of your trip. They helped us plan our routes each day, they gave us quarters for parking when we went to the shopping area (Church Street), and provided awesome company during breakfast. We enjoyed hearing about the area and their experiences. We stayed in the Paris Suite and it was beautifully decorated. It was a very relaxing and romantic setting. Breakfast was delicious. Every morning we had something different, but they always served 3 "courses" - something light to start, the main breakfast, and then a little something sweet for dessert. There were also cookies set out for us during the day. I would recommend this B&B to anyone, without hesitation. I would love to be able to go back again!

I had a wonderful time staying with Peter and Susan this past weekend. The Inn rooms are warm with fireplaces blazing, tastefully decorated, and cozy. Common rooms in the house include a massive library, board game and DVD collection, billiards, and plenty of space to hang out. It's also right down the street from Sugarbush, and shuttle service made getting to the mountain a breeze. Finally, the delicious communal breakfast (and breakfast desert!) really tied everything together. I highly recommend checking it out!

Of all the Inns I have stayed in, in the Vermont and New Hampshire area, this one by far takes the cake. Peter and Susan, and their two wonderful cats, are the most welcoming, warm, and helpful hosts I have ever had. I stayed for only 2 nights, but I wish I could have extended my trip longer just to enjoy the delicious breakfast that is served in the morning. The room we stayed in was impeccably clean, and the french theme made the trip fantastical. I am allergic to cats, but I did not have any allergic reaction, which shows how carefully they keep their house clean. The house as a hole was nicely decorated, with plenty of space to sit and read, and even a pool table to play a game and relax with. Peter and Susan are also wonderful to talk to. They have a lot of fun stories and experiences that they were more than happy to share! The wine and champagne I purchased while staying was very reasonably priced, and the house red was probably one of the best wines I have tasted in years. I highly recommend listening to their suggestions for food and drinks! Overall, I have no complaints of my stay at West Hill House, and could easily go on and on about how nice it is. I would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone!
