I'll be looking for this update on my Nexus 6P...
Keep your connection speed high and your data bill low with Wi-Fi Assistant, a feature that allows you to automatically and securely connect to more than a million, free open Wi-Fi hotspots. Originally a Project Fi exclusive feature, we are now expanding Wi-Fi Assistant to all Nexus users in the United States, Canada, Mexico, UK and Nordic countries. This will roll out to users over the next few weeks. Learn more: http://goo.gl/8I4wcA

I'm a quadriplegic who can use a touch screen really well. However, buttons that require pressure are very difficult to use, if at all. That's why I love the on screen navigation buttons. There are rumors that Android N is being set up for 3D touch,, though. PLEASE do not do this. It would only make future devices less accessible if we have to press the screen to use certain features. Also, please include a volume button in the quick settings for those of us who can't press the volume buttons.

3 years ago we embarked on a project to put computing inside a contact lens -- an immensely challenging technical problem with an important application to health.  While I am delighted at the progress that project has made, I could not have imagined the potential of the initiative it has grown into -- a life sciences team with the mission to develop new technologies to make healthcare more proactive.  The efforts it has spawned include  a nanodiagnostics platform, a cardiac and activity monitor, and the Baseline Study.

It’s a huge undertaking, and I am delighted to announce that the life sciences team is now ready to graduate from our X lab and become a standalone Alphabet company, with Andy Conrad as CEO.  While the reporting structure will be different, their goal remains the same. They’ll continue to work with other life sciences companies to move new technologies from early stage R&D to clinical testing—and, hopefully—transform the way we detect, prevent, and manage disease.

The team is relatively new but very diverse including software engineers, oncologists, and optics experts.  This is the type of company we hope will thrive as part of Alphabet and I can’t wait to see what they do next.

I would totally love to be in business with +Google. I wonder what +Larry Page and +Sergey Brin would think of this. Maybe they will hear my ideas and take a chance with me in a test market.

Technology has helped me do more as a quadriplegic than I could have ever accomplished on my own. My quality of life has gotten better as technology has advanced, and I often imagine what else could be possible with each new generation of the tech we use every day. I'm excited to see what Google and their partners can design for a better future for the disabled.
What if we worked together to create a more accessible world for all?

Today we’re announcing $20 million in grant funding through the Google Impact Challenge: Disabilities. We’re challenging the thinkers, the doers, the builders to create technologies that can make a difference to the one billion people around the world living with a disability.

Together, let’s ask the right questions, find new answers, and build a better world, faster. Join us: http://get.google.com/disabilitiesimpactchallenge/

My cousin +David Griffiths has posted some demos he created. He plans to rework a couple of these with his new band, Chrome Cobra. I'm excited he's playing music again. Let him know if you like his tunes.

I try not to flood my social networks with things like this but I would really like to get a Chromebook. The odds of me winning are not good but it's worth a shot, and this equals another entry.
