Lease or Buy
It never struck me as an issue that I would ever consider leasing a vehicle. On the stark advice from my father, I was never to lease a vehicle.  And so far I've not leased a vehicle.  But why should you lease or not?  There has to be at least one or two go...

To respond to your question, "Do we need electric trucks?"  I say (1) yes, we need them to replace the current trucks that expel much more noxious fumes than cars, but (2) I am a truck enthusiast and I definitely want an pure battery-electric truck.

I asked the Via Motors representative at the EAASV Rally 2012, if it would be possible to convert my ICE 2007 Avalanche to electric, since it too is a Chevy.  He replied that anything is possible provided I had the cash to make the changes.  I can't afford the $80k price tag of a Via Trux, but I definitely want one.

It's definitely not always the first question that I get, but once the conversation gets more serious, the EV-curious will always ask about maintenance.  To which I will have to consistently repeat myself, that there is nearly zero maintenance. The most ami...

The California Academy of Sciences was a blast. We visited from 1:00 - 5:00 pm on a Thursday, when thunderstorms were expected in the weather. It turned out to be a beautiful, blue day. Cal Academy reminded me the Exploratorium, but with a great deal more living things to learn about. My wife was most excited about visiting the Earthquake exhibit, which included a short film and shaker-house where we could experience what it might have felt like to have lived through the 1989 and 1906 SF quakes. Easily my favorite part of the museum was the Rain Forest exhibit. In order to keep the animals from escaping and to maintain the humidity, there are isolation rooms at the entrance and exit of the exhibit. It is very warm and very humid, but amazing to see so many beautiful creatures. Once you ascend to the top of the circular pathway, an elevator will take you down to the lower-level for a visit under the aquarium. I also enjoyed the Planetarium and its film that tied into the Earthquake exhibit.

Literally the best lamb shank I have ever had. Taste bud flavor fest. Succulent, tender, lamb, combined with such sweet and potent added flavors as I had not ever had with Lamb. The Hot ginger lemon cider had a light thickness of ginger, enhanced by the slice of lemon. It brought to mind a mild version of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy's Pan-Dimensional Gargle Blaster.

I rented a 2012 Chevy Sonic for 2 days for a trip to San Francisco. The car was fun, and peppy (under 40), but a lil slow on the shifting when dealing with the hills of SF. I appreciated the professional service I received from the representatives at this Enterprise location. I also liked that they had a selection of three sub-compact vehicles (Hertz only had 2). Prices were similar to Hertz, but my past experience with them was one of two extremes, either stressful or lackadaisical. Enterprise tends to be slightly more expensive, but has a quality that exceeds the price.

Gas Buddy listed price for Regular at X (that did not include that it was CASH ONLY). The correct price for Regular was X+$0.10. Why not say that your price is Y and that there is a discount for cash (like the Chevron at Duane/ Lawrence)? This might not have been a problem except that the card reader at the pump did not work, requiring a visit to the clerk and the pump was very slow. This was 2nd least impressive experience I've had at a Chevron.
