Cloud Cover
The clouds often appear as the snow capping the mountains.  They just sit there. It is a wonder to me.  From this distance they're beautiful and serene, but I'm sure it is very different atop the peaks.  These mountains are only about 2000 ft (645 m) high

Straight up accurate, Infotainment is absolutely an afterthought for the manufacturer. Granted this might have something to do with the very long lead time for any vehicle model. But with 3rd-party software manufacturer, like Google, the systems could be updated regularly, and be current even on hardware that is several years old.

The food is classic, down-home, cooking. As long as you appreciate a deliciously traditional American meal, you'll enjoy The Longhorn Charcoal Pit. I and the members of the church that I attend have Brunch here every month because they have cafeteria style ordering and seating. It's much easier for everyone to get what they want in their own time. They must be doing something right to have survived so long

I rented a 2012 Chevy Sonic for 2 days for a trip to San Francisco. The car was fun, and peppy (under 40), but a lil slow on the shifting when dealing with the hills of SF. I appreciated the professional service I received from the representatives at this Enterprise location. I also liked that they had a selection of three sub-compact vehicles (Hertz only had 2). Prices were similar to Hertz, but my past experience with them was one of two extremes, either stressful or lackadaisical. Enterprise tends to be slightly more expensive, but has a quality that exceeds the price.

The California Academy of Sciences was a blast. We visited from 1:00 - 5:00 pm on a Thursday, when thunderstorms were expected in the weather. It turned out to be a beautiful, blue day. Cal Academy reminded me the Exploratorium, but with a great deal more living things to learn about. My wife was most excited about visiting the Earthquake exhibit, which included a short film and shaker-house where we could experience what it might have felt like to have lived through the 1989 and 1906 SF quakes. Easily my favorite part of the museum was the Rain Forest exhibit. In order to keep the animals from escaping and to maintain the humidity, there are isolation rooms at the entrance and exit of the exhibit. It is very warm and very humid, but amazing to see so many beautiful creatures. Once you ascend to the top of the circular pathway, an elevator will take you down to the lower-level for a visit under the aquarium. I also enjoyed the Planetarium and its film that tied into the Earthquake exhibit.

Literally the best lamb shank I have ever had. Taste bud flavor fest. Succulent, tender, lamb, combined with such sweet and potent added flavors as I had not ever had with Lamb. The Hot ginger lemon cider had a light thickness of ginger, enhanced by the slice of lemon. It brought to mind a mild version of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy's Pan-Dimensional Gargle Blaster.
