It's the National Cathedral, in Washington, DC. Scaffolding is in place as they're still repairing damage from the earthquake several years ago.

Had a lovely lunch here! Their burger is delicious -- moist, flavorful, and filling. Service was perfect -- always there with a refill, but never seemed to be hovering. Good mix of items to choose from. They've got a pooch patio menu, too. I'll have to come back with my dog.

Went here for Quizzo on a Tuesday night. Has the appeal of a dive bar (not pretentious, feel like you could hang for as long as you like, not overpriced, get the sense you'd be a regular right quick) without being a dive. Decent food from the frier, and even the healthier options (a black bean burger, for example) are tasty. Service can be spotty -- our server kept leaving after taking one person's order, leaving 4 to wait until he came back. Still, a pleasant place to spend some time and answer some trivia.

It's consistent, I'll say that for it. There's a far-too-large menu, and almost always a far-too-long wait. The portion sizes are ginormous. The food isn't going to push any boundaries of style or flavor. But, if you've a diverse crowd to feed and need a place where everyone can find *something* to eat, this is likely going to do the trick. Near the Metro, and there's a parking garage.

See and be seen, near the Capitol. While it has a good lunch menu, the place is LOUD. Loud. Very loud. It is hard to hear what your dining companions are saying, so don't think you're going to get a lot of work done. The wine cube in the middle looks appealing, though I didn't get to linger over the wine list. The crab cake sandwich was far too uniform -- it was shaped like a perfect puck, and was very homogenous in texture. A shame, considering we're in crab cake country. Those who ordered meat were happy with their choices. Side orders of fries never arrived, however.

This center is so very nice. Their previous location on North Capitol was dingy and tired; this is shiny and spacious and comfortable. The staff is great, as are the doctors. There's even a "connector" to Union Station -- in bad weather, you can walk from the pharmacy all the way to the train concourse of Union Station without ever setting foot outside! Convenient to public transit and a lovely place if you need medical care.

Seriously, there's a reason why Guapo's is still here, decade after decade. Tasty food. Try the platters, and, of course, the margaritas. On a sunny day, sit out on the patio -- perfect DC afternoon spot.
